Someone could combine Stanford with Santa Clara, which gets you Steve Nash and Kurt Rambis with Stanford.

A Kansas State / Wichita State team would be fun with Beasley, Blackman, Boozer, Mike and Maurice Evans, Hitch, Richmond, A. Carr, Jabali, Levingston, X Man McDaniel, Stallworth

Iowa / Iowa State gives you Hornacek, Don Nelson, Connie Hawkins and a bunch of other guys to pick from.

Norfolk State gives you Bob Dandridge and Kyle O'Quinn to combine with Virginia Tech with has a lot of players.

Providence has good players, Barnes, Wilkins, Thorpe, Croshere, Riordon, Jimmie Walker, DiGregorio who can combine with Rhode Island and bring in Mobley, Odom and Sly Williams.

Minnesota looks good with McHale, Lou Hudson, Archie Clark, Mychal Thompson, and a bunch of other players. The only other team in the state that I can find who has any NBA players is Bemidji with an early player named Arnie Johnson, but even if you just go with Minnesota they have loads of NBA players with the 4 stars I mentioned above and several other good players.

By the way, if anybody wants to go with an Ivy League team you can combine all of the Ivy League teams to create a team, Bill Bradley, Brian Taylor, Armond Hill, John Hummer, Geoff Petrie, Jeremy Lin, Chris Dudley, Jim McMillian, Rudy LaRusso, Ernie Beck, Corky Calhoun, Matt Maloney, Dave Wohl

Villanova has loads of players and they can combine with Temple, or Penn State, or Penn, or Pitt, or another PA school.

Illinois has a bunch of players who can combine with Southern Illinois (Frazier) or Illinois State (Doug Collins, Jeff Wilkins).

If someone wants a Patriot League team (minus Navy who has been used already) they will get Kermit Washington, Raja Bell, Gary Plummer, Jim Hayes, Mike Muscala, Carl Braun, Bob Duffy, Adonal Foyle, Ernie Vandeweghe, Bob Cousy, Tom Heinsohn, George Kaftan, Togo Palazzi, Kevin Stacom, and CJ McCollum

This past season we had 4 "league teams" that were all well below .500, teams that I put in and left on auto pilot all season, so in reality we had 12 of the 20 regular owner make the playoffs rather than 12 of 24. It will likely be the same thing in season 2, with one bad "league team" in each division, except the league teams will probably be even worse. If we need them I am planning on 2 of them being an "Ivy League team" and a "Patriot League team" without Navy, as they were in this past season. I will find 2 other weak teams to put in, so the 20 real owned teams will have a much better chance of making the playoffs.

So we really only need 8 more teams to complete the league. There's plenty of competitive options, let's go gentlemen!

Guys, I have 4 league teams ready with rosters, one for each division. I decided against the Patriot League team, as they may be pretty good with Cousy, Heinsohn, Kermit Washington, Raja Bell, and some other good players. So here's what I went with each team's top players.

Ivy League - East - Bradley, Brian Taylor, Petrie, Lin, Dudley, Jim McMillian, LaRusso

Bowling Green / Miami (Ohio) - Central - Thurmond, Ron Harper, Embry, Holmes, Szczerbiak, Piatkowski, A. Daniels

Colorado / Colorado State - Midwest - Humphries, Billups, Rule, Wedman, Chuck Williams, Dinwiddie, Schlueter

Stanford - Pacific - Brevin Knight, Childress, Keefe, Kelley, Brook Lopez, Robin Lopez, Powell, Fields, Yardley

Come on guys, we're having a great playoffs so far in season 1. Three of the four second round series are tied at 1-1. Get in for season 2 of this very fun league.

You may want to consider some other winkles for this. I can tell you no one will want that Ivy league squad or the Patriot league squad. I can't remember who it was back in the day but he made multiple permutations of this type of league they went like this:

Choose a college and ONE person born in the state
Choose a college and ONE person who went to high school in the state
Choose a college and ONE person that went to another college in the state.

These would go with different cap levels and UCLA, UK, UNC, and KU were always not allowed to get the additional player since the school was so deep. If you went with something like that it may be a bit more interesting. As it sits now there are not a lot of additional opportunities. You could even combine some of these where you could select ONE player that went to high school in the state and ONE player that went to college in the state to mix it up.
