I'd rather do good work and rest on that than rest my "salvation" on Jesus being the son of God. Just because you believe it, that does not make it true. Again, you may very well be right. At least I am willing to admit I may be wrong. So who is close minded?

You and others can have your way with this guy all you want with regards to politics and although I'm as often displeased with his divisive tactics re Jesus/God as you, as a fellow Christian I do support his 'knowing' our Jesus/God/Salvation/Heaven/hell is real as do most Christians specially after having experienced the indwelling gift of the Holy Spirit. We're not mad at you personally in missing out on this joy, it's just hard to explain, like teaching the internet to an ant. To paraphrase a similar example by the group Newsboys; they don't know that we know that we know.

It may be useful to know that I tolerate honest unawares objection than previous days as a hater I too didn't tolerate apparent better than everyone else elitist Christians. Probly better to follow the everyday example of the silent majority in your community (although there's loons everywhere) than a couple overzealous ones on the net who in their hearts I'm convinced only have your eternal best interest in mind despite occasional slip-ups in letting a rough crowd get the better of them. I know this firsthand thru coldwitnessing in homeless communities and being spit on and food thrown at me and physical threatened. Same thing happened to Jesus so why would I expect any different.

IMO it is impossible to be both an elitist and a Christian. They just don't go together. As for striving with these few.. I keep saying I am done with it, but then they make some dumb comment and I get sucked in and react..
