Savage VIII took 10 days and roughly 16 hours from first pick to last pick. Savage IX is currently in its 11th day.
It's been beyond brutal... I legitimately wanted to rage quit. I have as rich a social/extracurricular life as anyone, but I get them in one way or another because I don't want to be a dick to others. People not SM'ing or sending proxies when there picks are close + and they won't be around for a bit are not helpful. There have been 20 picks of >4 hours. 10 picks >8 hours. I just went >90 hours between picks! Here are the average pick times (anonymizing the drafter names to prevent outrage/finger pointing) from last Savage to this one:

I'm sure my average time between picks is higher than others, and higher than usual, and I apologize for that. But I will note that two of my longest pick gaps (before my 1st round pick and 8th round pick) are sort of special cases: for the first one the draft began at roughly midnight and I didn't realize it had started until the following morning (when I promptly picked), and the second one no one SMed to tell me I was up (and once again those picks putting me up came in the middle of the night). I probably should have proxied for my 8th round pick, but I will say in general I have found it difficult to proxy for my particular draft spot, at least the pick heading into the turn, because it usually involves assessing the whole draft board and my various needs to assess who I think will get taken in the 6 picks between my picks.
But again: I know I've been worse than usual and apologize.
