You mean like when you have 4 people left that need a certain position and there are roughly 4 players (from your available franchises) you like from that position. You want somebody else to make a move first. But waiting also prevents you from taking a player at a different position from one of those 4 franchises, b/c the inevitable run will most certainly screw you.
It's the main reason I grabbed Trevor Bauer this past round. For me, the P4 position only had 3 guys I wanted (i.e., could live with) but 5 people still needed to draft from that position. It was probably too early, but it's the price I am willing to pay for not totally sucking at the position.
FYI - for those who may not have paid attention, I still have not rostered a RP. My history with RP performance in the sim has been well documented. In the last version of this theme, I loaded up on solid RPs, drafting most of my RPs earlier than normal. Didn't matter. This time, my goal is to get big enough leads, where my RPs may give up 4 runs in the 9th but I win by 3 instead of by 7. Nothing can go wrong with that strategy, right?
