For some reason DDL 29 does not mention Wilt.

I am pretty sure that I relaxed that for the next 50's/60's and set the limit at $12.6 mill. And the fact that whoever drafted Wilt in the last one did NOT win, leaves me thinking that is about right. I really think the ABB format really negates a Wilt pick at #1, at least evening it up. I think $11 mill is way too low and I'm pretty sure that is a smokey thing. Especially now that WIS adjusted the defensive ratings, I think THIS DDL will be affected way more than others, making the Wilt at #1 pick much less important.

I think it was no player over 11M…no player was mentioned originally. DDL #1 & 2 was where most the rules were made by league voting. The only rules made without voting was no trading players, draft position or division assignments. Random draft order and division each season was actually DH’s idea It eliminated sandbagging by half the league. Seems to have work out ok. Everything else was voted on “developed by consensus”. Smokey hated salary caps and wanted a different way to limit the draft and force owners to deal with some liability. So he developed a league that capped the eligible player pool to a decade…

ps…and capped the salary of any one player to $11M, no players were banned.

Lastly, Smokey wanted to use all of the ABA and NBA players in the WIS data base, not just the same top 300 HOF players…
