Who’s the PG? Topic

I would really try to avoid sub 70 pass for the PG at D1 so its pretty clearly Poppe for me. Craney is a good D1 player already as a freshman, I just would try to avoid having him start at PG.

To answer that, I looked at your team. I think Chow is actually your best point guard? His passing is obviously also a bit low (1 point below my arbitrary 70 line), but from a total package I think I like him the best at PG which also lets Poppe play the position he'll be best at (SF). SO Chow-Craney-Poppe would probably be my default choice. In general, Id be fine with interchanging any of those three at the three spots as long as Craney isnt the point.

In triangle, Poppe was probably a little better this past season. It’s negligible though, especially by the end of next season when Craney’s IQ is in the A- range. You’ll get different things from them, but I think your end result will be mostly the same - with slightly better team fg efficiency with poppe, slightly better turnover avoidance with Craney. Stamina might be the tiebreaker, if you don’t have a decent backup.
