Yeah, this has to stop. 24 hours. 450 views and it's early in the day. Just not fair to the other owners who feel obligated to go on with repeated checking to try to keep this moving. Round 1 should serve as acknowledgment of the understanding the league has started with established time slots. If the owner cannot buy into this, maybe this is not the right league for that person. Discourteous to the commish as well as everyone else.

If nothing changes this will be my final DDL.

it's redbooda again. he only checks the forums a couple times a week unless he knows the league has started and even then he only checks it once a day regardless of his draft time slot and plays catch up with his picks. he probably doesn't know we've started up again. this is why the first round is off the clock in general,... to give everyone a chance to know the draft has started for leagues that took some time to fill and knowing not everybody is equally active on WIS. Since we stopped to reboot, the 2nd round is acting like the 1st round.

that said, if owners aren't checking the forums more than 1-2 times a week, then maybe draft leagues aren't for them., or if they commit to a draft league then they should also commit to check the forums more often. draft leagues require more of a commitment, and owners should be conscious of that to be considerate of the other owners. I'd be OK with a 24 hour clock for 1st round to give people who don't know the league has started a chance, but what needs to happen is not to start the draft at all unless all owners have responded via sitemail or post that they are aware the draft is starting. Once you have awareness, then you can start the first round on the clock, even if it's not at the same pace as future rounds. Then if they're still slow to pick (maybe 24hr clock for 1st round), then you can skip them in first round. After first round, it should go to 30 min or 1 hour draft slots. Until you get all owners aware the draft has started this will happen every time. You get some people raring to go, and some people who don't even know it's started yet. Some of these leagues take a long time to fill. I've been signed up for the silent auction league for a while now. If I didn't even know it was filled, I wouldn't want to be skipped in first round. you can forward sitemail to your email to help with awareness, and everyone should do this if they haven't already. Even if you don't check your WIS sitemail daily, you probably check your email daily, so this is a nice feature to activate. So I guess the first question is... is redbooda (and everyone else) even aware the league has started up again?

don't overreact to the suggestion for 24 hour 1st round clock. most owners will pick within minutes or hours of it being their turn. it's not at all like it would take a month for the first round. it's only for those people who don't even know the draft has started yet, it wouldn't be fair to anyone to skip them if they don't even know the draft has started up again. but an even better suggestion is simply not to start the draft at all unless everyone confirms they are aware the draft will start soon. then, start it on the clock right away, maybe giving a little more time for first round. 24 hours or less, or even same as future rounds. once everyone is aware it's starting, and we start the draft... then let's burn through it.

You guys probably could have used a REAL commissioner. Someone who checks the thread constantly, and would not allow road blocks like redbooda to clog things up. Someone who constantly updates the picks so everybody knows what's going on. Someone who doesn't quit the league in the middle of the draft. If only there was somebody like that.

I knew you did when we were drafting. Just didn't know if you did when between drafts. Did you get a sitemail from Morph saying it was your turn? If not, then that's on Morph. Do you have sitemail forwarded to your email? It would help curb some of the angst surrounding this draft if everyone did that.
