HDS1 is going to one of the better rebounding teams imo.
Front court is an all timer will be interesting to see how he fills out the back.

sometimes i think there is a group mindset when it comes to players in these kind of drafts. for me i just decided i wanted to build a club around garnett who is a player i have not used a great deal. most of the picks went within the typical range they tend to go only exception i note was hakeem. though i don’t fault a person wanting to build a club around him.
Beloud did a great job with garnett this last time his rebounding, assists and defense at sf will make it a lot of fun to build around. Previous leagues definitely set a precedent. Why pick a guy in the first when you know you can get him in the second.

savoy to be fair we’re usually picking in different places every time.

Speaking of same spot every season. Towns at 29 3 straight years. Great player even has a couple seasons to pick from.

Was going back and forth between KAT and someone not drafted, and pulled the trigger on the one I haven't used for. And regretted it asap.

Wade doesn’t give me the efg I want but he does give me the ability to go in whatever direction I’d like going forward.

I don’t feel locked into playing him at either guard spot. I don’t have to worry about defense for my next guard pick unless I want to make some stacked defensive combo.

The problem with these guys with real high usage, like close to 40, is what happens when he's not in the game. If you were playing the games live and making your owns substitutions maybe you could work it out, but with the sim making the subs you could end up with a 38 in the game and your team is at 110, and then a 17 replaces the 38 and you're down to 89 usage for the 5 guys in the game.

OR

The 38 is in the game with other high usage guys and you add up to like 124, which means each player is getting his possessions cut by a lot.

Eh building a team around 115–120 usage isn’t bad which means I just need a player around 25% to keep usage above any penalty.

That's why the guys that are like 37, 38% are dangerous. Most guys are between like 15 and 25 where they are pretty interchangeable as far as your team total will be at any one stint in a game. But a guy who is 38, when he comes in, or goes out, mid game, and the guy leaving or replacing him is like 17, you have a plus or minus 21% there.

You can go from 107 to 128, or to 86 with that substitution. It's not a problem with a 40% Wilt when he's playing 47 minutes, but when you have a guy like Luka at 36 and only playing 31 minutes, it can be a problem. If you were manually making the subs you could take care of it by having 2 subs at a time, like Luka (36) and someone at 12 going out and two guys at like 25 and 23 coming in.

There are a lot of good players now with 30+ usage with 10-25 mins. You get a guy with 30 usage and that player to Wade is only 6 different. It is hard to find exact minutes fits though.

Good points. The only way to deal with high usage/lower minutes is to sub with similar high usage. Not too many Wade usage types out there.

Ive drafted the magic and dr j combo before. But it was at the end of the first and beginning of the 2nd. And it wasn't that long ago. I was absolutely shocked that both of them lasted all the way to me. I kind of picked them, magic especially, almost out of principle.

Their rebounds are nice too ??
