So I’m a little confused how I lost a player I was recruiting so suddenly. I had 925 AP, 20/1, 25 minutes and start offered to late recruit. After11P EST cycle on 1/8 I was alone at very high with all other schools at low. At 5A EST cycle, two other schools moved to high with player signing for one of them. At this time I was still listed at very high, however there was no roll for the player whatsoever…has anyone had this happen and able to explain to me why no roll even occurred for this player???

It looks like you had already signed 6 freshman, which is the max # of players you can have in any given class.

Another caveat is say you signed an academically ineligible kid this season and he showed up to campus and remained ineligible his first season. The NEXT season he counts as a FR, even though he’ll be listed as a SO. So that off-season you’d only be able to recruit 5 FR, with the ineligible kid from the prior season counting as the 6th. Just an fyi.

There was a roll, but since you weren't eligible to sign him, you can't see the roll. Only the 2 High teams will be able to see the results of that roll.

Had a similar thing happen to me but in reverse last recruiting cycle in Rupp. Another school and I were fighting over a Juco Jr...then all of a sudden he signed with me with a 100% chance despite the other team still showing as High. Turns out that other team had signed another Juco and that gave them 6 Jrs so they couldn't sign this other one.

Yea, that other coach must be losing his mind! Oh wait, I was that other coach……

it was my first full season at a new school (Florida) and I had only 7 players. So I targeted hella Jucos. Problem was, I already had 4 Sophs and didn’t realize it. So after signing 2 jucos, my future junior class had 6 players. scthalfan is referring to my 3rd juco target who I could not sign.

When I saw the results, it really confused the hell out of me for a good 30 minutes until I finally went to your team page to see if I could tell what happened! (I was going to allow you to remain nameless lol)

I just did this as well :) .. and I have been playing for a long time (well, with a little break of a year).
