Used to be the only real good argument for it I could see was that a new world with a new "race to the top" opened up those prestigious programs to new users, but with the loosened job restrictions and more movement and attrition, I don't think that holds much weight anymore either. I'd probably join, only because I'd want to be in on the race to the top - UCLA and Zone are the 2 programs I've not yet coached that I'd really like to, and this would be a good opportunity I guess. But at the same time, in the long run, it's not sustainably adding long term users to the game. Tweaking price structure and building an updated. balanced, and transparent game engine are the ways to do that.

All that said, I'd still be in favor of a new world right now if there was something unique about it (I don't mean like 4xday though, that's too much for me). Something like a hardcore world with more strict firing standards (at all levels, but especially high D1), and a career expiration of 50-60 seasons, with a forced "retirement" and restart at the bottom after a certain point. I'd be in for that, for sure.

4-a-day is way, way too much. Two is perfect, and I don't mind shoe's suggestion of this being the "stricter firing" world (though a forced restart seems a bit harsh).

If this happens, I would love to do some sort of challenge where coaches are on a team and you get X amount of points for making it to the S16, X amount of points for the Elite 8, etc. and then you see which team of coaches ended up having the more successful careers.

Basically Gil’s dynasty rankings turned into a sort of fantasy league or something. Still needs lots of fleshing out.

I've been around this game for like 15 years. I know you are trolling and adding 0 meaningful words to the conversation but I'll use your comment to further add that a lot of these thoughts against a new world are nothing new, same with the thoughts with starting one.

However if WIS had a business plan in place to capitalize off of the hype of creating 2 new worlds with mass emails going out to old coaches that new worlds are opening to come try HD again, I'm not sure how that wouldn't be worth at least a shot. Opening new worlds is by far the best move HD has to drum up attention, especially in a very real customer base of old users who lost track of the game over time but would now love to come back and give it a shot again, someone like me one year ago.

No it's not trolling it just literally is the dumbest thing generally poor coaches ask for.

You know what would drum up attention?

Fixing the game that caused so many people to leave and isn't designed to attract and keep new coaches that stumble upon the site.

A business model designed around bringing back customers that left because your product is worse is a terrible business model.

New worlds are nothing but a short term band aid that does nothing to actually fix why coaches left and why new coaches dont stick around. Most of the time peopl clamoring for new worlds are the coaches who think the only reason they aren't coaching A+ Kansas is because that coac has been there for 5 years and they'd totally beat them there. Newsflash if these coaches who already went through the journey to get to these jobs and hold them even bother they'd wipe the floor and get to the jobs. And if it wasn't worth it to them it's just 2 mediocre worlds of mostly mediocre coaches trying to fight for schools they aren't good enough to get in the current worlds.

Ive yet to see someone list an actual benefit that is "it would be a fun race to the top"

I too say no. D3 and D2 seem to be emptying out across the Worlds as it seems everyone wants to get to D1.

I would join a "New" Race to the top World, but from the Business standpoint just cannot see that happening.

That might be a world worth having. Race to the top. First human to win a D1 NT then the world resets and everyone starts at DIII again?

Any hype is good hype. A new world/worlds would probably bring back many coaches who have taken some time away. Even if 75% of them are one-and done or leave. If 25% hell even 5% of people who have left come back and stick around. That would be a positive. Plus it would give the banned accounts a chance to get their aliases in and on a level playing people with all the other coaches. :)

ive never been one to hide it. i just call it like i see it tends to be right pretty often

not only is it a terrible idea if theres any time spent working on the game youve now had wis staff waste time on a very ****** bandaid that shouldve been spent elsewhere like jobs+firings

I’d be in for a new world at any of 1x 2x or 4x. Wasn’t around for the formation of any of the current worlds and think it would attract a solid and engaged userbase right away. What’s the downside?
