I've done this analysis many times before, but using all the data from Round 1, there is a very small relationship between winning% in 2+ run games and winning% in 1-run games.

The relationship is basically every 25 points in winning% in 2+ run game = 5 points in winning% in 1-run games.

Examples:
A .450 team in 2+ run-games = .490 team 1-run games.
A .475 team in 2+ run-games = .495 team 1-run games.
A .525 team in 2+ run-games = .505 team 1-run games.
A .550 team in 2+ run-games = .510 team 1-run games.
A .600 team in 2+ run-games = .520 team 1-run games.

A new regression analysis between 2+ run winning% and 1-run winning% shows the correlation has stayed the same at approx +5 points in 1-run winning% for every 25 points in 2+ run winning%.

League 15 has 4 teams in the top 25 including 2 of the top 3. My 19-20 Dodgers/Tigers are 25th overall, however we are 4th in league 15, and 6 games back in my own division!

KUDOS to Cuda his record speaks for itself....but also realize of those 6 teams....5 were Top 5 picks. You make your own breaks by winning in first round but as the follow on analysis shows...The Top 5 pick teams have a HUGE advantage over Those bottom 5 pick teams.

I was never a threat in this tourney, did not expect to Win it, was lucky to make 2nd round but lets not talk about the Yankees success against AAA teams.

Agreed Creeper. Not taking anything away from barracuda, but 1st round success is almost everything in this tournament. If you struggle in the first round, it's a snowball effect, as theoretically the quality of your teams to pick from gets worse and worse by round until you're eliminated. Unless you can find crazy success with a late round pick, it's hard to turn momentum around.

How soon they forget....

Keep in mind that barracuda3 earned these early Round-2 picks despite having no pick prior to 13th in Round-1. Here are the Final Round 1 Standings. I doubt anybody will ever beat this level of success (given the draft pick numbers).
