Explain yourself...
1) Rudy Gobert - Great player, picked right about where he should go. Nothing to see here, just move along.
2) Bill Walton - My thinking here was to get a high usage, good eFG% point guard.....Dwyane Wade? I've never used him. His eFG% is too low. Great defense, good assist%, super high usage (too high for that eFG%?), maybe I should try something different.....oops, there he goes...Damian Lillard? Good usage, good eFG%, tons of threes, low to%....a sieve on defense...a sieve on defense...a sieve on defense...how about Luka Doncic? Do something different...really high usage...good eFG%...great rebounding from guard...weak defense...a lot of turnovers...Jrue Holiday? I really like him, but he isn't what I'm looking for...how about Bill Walton? Great backup for Rudy...I could have 48 minutes of solid D and great rebounding at center if I take Walton...he won't be there in the third round again...okay...I'll will kick the point guard decision down the road...Walton.
3) Klay Thompson - Okay, I need some usage, I need some good eFG%, I need some threes.....Klay Thompson fits the bill...he usually goes late second and here he is in the middle of the third...okay let's go with Klay.
4) Richaun Holmes - I still need a point guard...there's no one I that thrills me...maybe Terry Porter will slide to the fifth round (NO)...I guess it doen't matter which point guard I get at this point, they are all flawed...who's still here?...Richaun Holmes...good eFG%...good rebounding at SF...adequate defense...more assists than turnovers...this is where he should go...okay...Holmes it is.
5) Oscar Robertson - Should he be drafted? Where? When? It's funny that he is a good second round pick in Savage, but nobody wants him in the KFunk52 NCIH52 DH52 MidgeFunk52. Okay, I need someone to play point guard. Oscar gives me some scoring, above average rebounding for a point guard, good defense, flexibility, and at least some assists. Oh well...
6) Alvin Robertson - Should he be drafted? Where? When? My kicking the point guard can down the road led me to having a point guard who was low on the assist% coupled with a shooting guard who is also low on assist% and all of a sudden I needed a SF with good assist%. Okay, Alvin gives me 20.4% assist%. That will do it. What else does Alvin do? He plays defense...he's a 90 at PG, SG and SF, so if you have a PG, a SG or a SF who can shoot the ball he can cover you. I have a three headed defensive rotation at those positions with a 90, an 80, and a 70. It could be worse. His eFG% isn't good, but he will have the 4th highest usage on the floor so hopefully he won't kill me. As far as his turnovers...people don't like his 17.2 to%, but the fact is he made 212 turnovers and his A/T ration is 2.1, which is pretty good for a SF. On top of that, he made 246 steals...he has more steals than turnovers...that has to be a good thing, right? His rebounding is weak for SF, but when you include his assists and defense and steals he will be one of the players on this team leading it to a 72 chewy score...so there.
7) Jameer Nelson - I was totally going to take Domantas Sabonis here, but some son of a ***** grabbed him before I could he was already taken and I was at the doctor's office and just said screw it, give me Jameer. Yes, Oscar is still my point guard for 32 minutes per game. When Jameer is in the game providing usage, good eFG%, assists, hustle, attitude and manual dexterity (what? are you saying Jameer Nelson does not have manual dexterity?) Oscar will be out there next to him providing even more usage, eFG%, assists and manual dexterity.
Bonus Midge: Are people too hung up on to%? People are always saying Dwyane Wade is great, with his 11.6 to% and Stockton sucks because his to% is 22.4%. How about if Midge says this: Wade's to% is low because he is missing a lot of shots. The bottom line is that Stockton has an A/T ratio of 3.8 and Wade has an A/T ratio of 2.2 and on top of that Wade made more turnovers than Stockton. So you keep letting Stockton slide and Midge will gladly take Stockton with his third round pick. Midge out.
