But the team you described in the writeup is 1925. I'm confused.

Hold on... I'm now being told by a 3rd party that I may have these teams mixed up. Let me check

Midnight
I gift you the 1975 Chicago Cubs I will admit that there are 7 very useful players but there all position players many positions have been covered already by the other teams .The SP are all below average which goes with your first screw pick the 65 As and The Bullpen is downright Ugly. The Big Train is going to have to do everything himself.
I also made sure you didn't get a cheap 3b as you only have 3 Starting 3b on your roster.

ughhhh... I have all the teams on Excel and it appears I copied the 1925 Red Sox in to the 1925 season and the 1935 season. So I can't give him a team already selected. Will give the 1975 Angels instead.

damn, I should have just rolled with it.
the Angels suck

To all : 1935 Boston Red Sox are still available to be given Rd 3 or selected Rd 4.

That's the team Bill "Spaceman" Lee said could take batting practice in the ballroom of the Grand Hotel and not bother the chandelier.

eman, I looked long and hard to find the perfect compliment for your 55 Dodgers and 75 Brew crew. Some sweet starters, cheap backups to fill out the bench, maybe another middle-of-the-order bat, or bullpen help. The 1975 Texas Rangers are the answer.

Fergie Jenkins likes serving up the HR ball. He could end up as your ace. There is Gaylord Perry there with just 180 innings. Better conserve that option. And neither are cheap. Don't worry though, the Rangers bullpen is straight magnifico. Goes great with all of your current late inning arms.

Your bench needs some dudes to fill out that final roster. The Rangers are very versatile and meet your needs. The hitting lineup has many free swingers that aren't about taking pitches, but they will go down swinging for you. And they a top notch defensive squad. All before the days of Ron Washington spending extra time with those guys around the diamond. Alas, they sparkle just fine on their own. Of note, this was under the stable watch of Billy Martin. Hey, Mike Hargrove could be the player-manager to save cash in more ways than one!

In the OF, just think that nothing is more comforting than having Jeff Burroughs there for you after the dagger rounds. You do have Toby Harrah at SS, so have fun deciding if you want to pay for that vice your other options. And you get Arlington Stadium in your portfolio to help leverage your fine collection.

Seay,
my 3 objectives was to (1) limit your ability to dagger-proof your team in Rd 4 by making sure I didn't give you a backup at both 3B and SS. (2) Your pitching is already solid with close to 1400 IPs between an ERC of 3.2 and 3.7, so I needed to avoid giving you a clear upgrade/ace. (3) any offensive asset needed to be redundant.
The '45 BOSTON BRAVES had a decent season with a .461 winning %, an even RS vs. RA, and a payroll of $62.5m. However, they seem to meet my objectives. No backup at 3B & SS, which could be tricky for you drafting toward the end of Rd. 4. There are a couple of affordable decent pitching options but noone with an ERC less than 3.19. Offensively, there is some talent at C, SS, 3B, and OF similar to what you have.
enjoy!

J4M, You may be the toughest owner to screw in this league. Your experience in building teams of all variations and extremes makes this a tough decision. So let's see what you're working with... Offensively, you chose wisely. You're pretty much a 3B and SS away from an all-star line-up. And the prices are right, too. You have a lot of good value here. Defensively...yikes. Maybe the '65 Mets can help???

On the pitching side however, you are hurting, although the 65 Mets did provide a little help in the bullpen. You need SP's for sure. Unless you're going to build one of those extreme offenses and try to outslug everyone... yes, let's do that. No pitching for you. And as long as it isn't a SS or 3B, we won't concern ourselves too much with offense.

Please give a heart warming welcome to the 1965 Boston Red Sox. You get a decent Yaz, a not the best Radatz, and a bunch of average to below average players the will take up both roster spots and cash.

Looking forward to seeing the team you put together with this garbage. I suspect a lot of high scoring games in your future. Best of luck buddy!

razorclams chose strong pitching with the '65 Dodgers. Continuing to give him poor offensive choices will hopefully force him to make some hard choices. He gets the 1935 Cincinnati Reds

ermocito, let's keep with the theme and give you the 35 Reds. I'll expand later
I'm seeing red.
Loos like the 35 Reds have been selected already.

Sorry for the screw-up...I'll give razorclams the 1945 Boston Red Sox instead. There's not a whole lot of offense there (esp. in the outfield) and he'll still be looking for back-ups at 2B and SS
