A few years back when I was an unknown, I tried to organize an HD meet. Had some traction on it, but things fell apart. Since then, along the way for various reasons, I’ve met a few of you and had some good times and good conversation.

I’d like to take another shot at it. All dates, times, and locations are open. Nothing in concrete of course. But in order to have some schedule flexibility, I’m reaching out now to see if anyone has some thoughts on this and would like to participate, feel free to reach out to me directly or even post here.

i was thinking sometime in March around the NT time when college hoops is at its peak interest. Maybe even selection Sunday. I know a few of you that I haven’t talked to in a long time have wanted to do some sort of meet. Don’t hide in the shadows, feel free to reach out!

P.S. - I can tell you now, everything will be centered around Gil arriving, as the special guest of honor! Haha. If I have to pick him up myself, we will find a way to get him there!

If this thread gains some momentum, I’ll bump it every now and then. The goal? Aiming to see if we can get a nice double digit number of people!

I'm on the east coast but I'm supposed to be in Chicago in early March. Depending on timing I'd be down to swing by Cincy before returning to the coast.

I'd be interested in this. My schedule is pretty tight in the spring, though. If you set something up and I'm able to make it, I'll be there!

definitely interested! unfortunately i missed the last one with a last minute sick kid situation, but i imagine i will be at the next one!

back like 10 years ago someone put on a little get together up at some dive bar, it was a good time.

I would be interested but surely there are better places to meetup than Cincy? New Orleans, San Antonio, I would pay for a large airbnb condo here on the Texas coast.

i just posted almost this exact message but it didn’t save. Sorry if there Is a duplicate. Why Cincy? Just because I’m here and I’m the one that brought it up. I know there are a lot of Cincinnati HD Coaches. Although I do highly recommend you Texas guys meeting if it works! In todays society, it’s Very difficult to get a group of people together. And I doubt anyone Is booking flights to meet strangers. Although that would be great! I’d love some participants from outside the area!

gil I heard of the meet years ago, which inspires me to bring one up now. That and the fact I’ve met a few of you along the way who May come along.

Keep the interest, and I’ll put something in concrete in a week or so.

selection sunday or one of the Thursday/Friday of the start of the tourney works for me.

I’m in eastern PA but would consider driving out! It seems like it would be a good time.

I’m going to check my work schedule on Monday. I work every 3rd weekend. Let me see where that falls for next month for me. And I’ll set an official date, and see how that works for those interested!
