I woke up this morning wondering if that was a dream or did I really just draft Embiid? My metrics valued two other players ahead of Embiid, but I’ve taken each of them already and wanted to try something new. I’m not one to hold a draft up looking to trade down a few spots. It’s a huge leap and I’m pretty sure he would’ve gone late 1 early 2 if I didn’t take him based on others reluctance to be bold. So I’m going to trust the process, listen to my numbers, and probably regret it.

Hahaha! That’s such a good post. I’m glad I’m not a Sixers fan. I think I know how to surround Embiid with better teammates and a better coach.

I don’t understand people who don’t check the forums every fifteen minutes just to see what has changed in the last fifteen minutes.

Here is where we stand…

pointfwd has been on the clock for 15 hours so far, but he is not yet aware that we have started.

Option A: I hope he shows up soon, makes his pick, and we carry on drafting at the speed of light.

Option B: If he hasn’t shown up after 24 hours I recruit a replacement, who makes his pick, and we carry on drafting at the speed of light.

Option C: Midge puts up a poll with several good players, we vote on which player that team gets, we move on with the draft, and then either pointfwd shows up and either keeps the guy or trades the guy, or a replacement manager takes over the team and has an all NBA team guy as his first pick.
