Feels like there is a run on 100 D guys. Multiple teams have gone 3 for 3 with that strategy so far.

I think I got maybe 2 of the top 5/10 best defensive seasons in the sim. My efg isn’t good currently but I have 3 players that get to the line and make them at a high percentage so maybe that will help.

Really excited to see how good my defense will be with 09 Wade, 93 Hakeem and 92 Nance.

It'll be fun to see whose defense does better. Your 09 Wade, 93 Hakeem, and 92 Nance or my 91 Robinson, 02 (or 03) B Wallace, and 96 Payton.

Also on another note, I think J Kidd went LATE compared to how he usually goes in the 52

Hakeem/Wade/Nance is the superior defending group versus Robinson/B Wallace/Payton although both are very good. First has three 100s versus the other with two 100s and a 90. But also they have identical stl%'s while the first group has the superior blk% by almost a full point. Second group will foul a bit less though.

I am using Payton's 100 D season as long I can fill out the rest of my squad the way I want so we are even there. Also, I think mine as a whole will end up being better for 2 reasons. The first is the FTs. My team will be fouling less which will mean the opposing team will be shooting less FTs and my DReb% will be better. NOW the Dreb situation may be different once we both have our starting 5s filled out.

That 100 D Payton season is a pretty inferior season, my $0.02 at least.

You probably are right, but I gave up playing to win a loooooonnnngggg time ago bc when I do I just lose anyways so now I just play around with ideas. I am picking that season purely on the fact that it gives me 100 D at the guard and he Steals more than he fouls. I would say typically I use 00 and 95 payton more often than the 96 version and I may change my mind. It depends who I end up getting to pair with Payton at the other guard spot

Yeah I have 99-00 as the alpha-Payton.

Also I don’t think my fouls are terrible yet. Wade and nance are about as low as you can get for fp48 with 100D. Hakeem is at 4.5 which isn’t great but also not hitting that 5 number that really makes me nervous.

Yeah I guess I just need to keep double checking that fact because usually I correlate fouling with good defensive in the sim.

Every time I make a draft pick I just imagine the disappointment on Rob's face while Ben tries to put a positive spin on it.

This made me laugh because I realized along time ago that I was more cannon fodder than artillery gunner. I read once that only about 5% of World War II fighter pilots were actually good at both flying an airplane and at the same time be able to shoot at and hit a fast moving airplane. The other 95% of the guys were just targets.

I thought, chances are I am not going to win this league. This goes for every league I enter. So why bother? I play because I like being part of the WIS Basketball community. I have met a lot of nice people playing this game, way more than I met playing WIS Baseball. For example, most people don’t know this but there are 117 people named Ben H. who play basketball here. I can have fun here even if I don’t win every league. I enjoy reading the evals. Lately, people have been putting out some great videos. It’s a good experience.

We may not have 100s across the board, but Oladipo / Dr J / Timelord / Mailman shouldn't be too easy to score on either. And they even pass a bit!

I'm probably going with 75-76 Dr J, but the efg in 81-82 is very pretty and shiny.

I’ve decided to pretend 3s don’t exist. Gerald Wallace makes it 4 100 defenders.

Crash was one of my favorite 52 players. Didn’t expect him to fall to me but I would have been thrilled.
