This is just for fun and to get people involved. Announcing the first (and maybe only) WIS Basketball Top Ten Poll. What I want you to do is send me a list by site mail of the people who you think are the very best managers/team builders/users/governors whatever you want to call them. Send me your list from #1 to #10. When I tally the votes anyone who is a #1 will get 10 points, the #2s will get 9 points and so on, with the #10 person on each list receiving 1 point. I would prefer that the list be compiled of current users or people who have played recently. If you want to give a shout out to some great user from the past who no longer plays I can mention them as well, as long as it isn't 433 people we're talking about. I can't think of anyone else who this might apply to, but if anyone votes for kinoa1 or kona1 all of their votes will be combined as kinoa1. I will give this a week or two, tally the votes, and post the results. This is just for fun, but I am hoping to have a good voter turnout.

I almost didn't see this thread b/c of the forum it's in. Maybe post in the regular wisnba main section in addition? Anyway, list submitted. I gave a shoutout to uvasooner, dman430, and slymonium as guys who would absolutely be on the list if they were still playing.

qistat and uvasooner are both in the alltime WISNBA top 10.

I suck so much at draft leagues that I feel my vote shouldn't count for much. If there was a category for prog league owners, I'd feel comfortable voting.

would have been nice if everyone just kept it to current/active owners....i didnt put kinoa(or uva sly etc) on my list since the dont(or rarely) play

ben was an easy #1 for me...robusk an easy #2...i had ragged, tarheel, and nc(?) in and kinoa, pex(just missed the cut), and myself out...dontburnearl and 24kpyrite also just missed the cut

I think kinoa1 has become less active since I voted and for that reason if I voted again I would put Ben at the top. The way I feel about ash is.....I feel like he is playing chess while I am playing checkers. I kind of think about him like a crafty veteran baseball pitcher who doesn't have the same fastball he used to have when he blew it past everyone, but now he changes speeds, throws strikes, stays ahead in the count and still gets people out. The most important person to have ever played this game. If we ever had a real WIS Basketball Hall of Fame, he would be one of the original five guys in, no questions about it. I gave strong consideration to ncmusician_7, dh555, gerryred, and a few others, but you can only vote for ten. The other big change to my top ten is that I would have to have raggedclaws somewhere in there, probably in the top 7, maybe even the top 5. He is really knocking it out of the park these days.

Only the older members will remember when I used to be very active in the first 10 years with my dad. He was thehalls4549 and I was benjihall. While we weren't always the best we won our fair share of competitive leagues and tournaments. I stopped playing when WIF stopped evolving and only recently started again under this new forced moniker - so my all-time stats are completely skewed. Clearly my performance in the BOWIS tourney indicates that I'm not deserving of top 10 (yet!!) but I just wanted to point out that I am at least the sum of my parts.
