Notice I did not claim there were aliens. I don't know. I do find it a little hard to believe that there are no other sentinent beings anywhere in the whole universe, but do I know? Nope. Never seen an alien to my knowledge, but that doesn't mean they don't exist. Never seen a dinosaur either, but I know they existed.

I think that American politics has broken down into such a zero sum game between the forces of democracy and autocracy that it has replaced baseball as the American pastime.

Any person who is an immigrant and came here to escape a totalitarian government be it Russia or Vietnam or China should recognize within themselves an inherent devotion to protection of this democracy.
