I was wondering if you would have Ray Manzarek and you did with a vignette to boot. If you asked for an autograph who could blame you - I would have - but you were probably too classy.
I mention X as one of my favorite bands. Ray Manzarek was such a huge fan that he produced their first album and played on 3 songs including a remake of Soul Kitchen.

Howzabout Jerry Lee Lewis. The killer ain’t no filler.

And Al Kooper - for his participation on Like A Rolling Stone if nothing else.

And Donald Fagen…..Jules Holland…..Harry Chapin…..

That’s a goody.
Somebody mentioned Karen Carpenter.
She was actually a great drummer.

I will be doing my best lead guitar list.
Carpenter was an excellent drummer. Most people don't think of her that way.
Carpenter was a very good live drummer. She had no touch in the studio, unfortunately.

Her true calling was singing, anyway.
Unfortunately it wasn’t eating.

Re Keyboards - McCartney was a very effective piano player. No compacted notes. He has a very airy breezy no unneeded notes. Baby I’m Amazed Lady Madonna The Long and Winding Road Hey Jude Dear Boy - all amazing.

could have lost my job asking for an autograph. I did tell him his music was the soundtrack to my misspent youth! Here are a few other celebrities I had as passengers, not that anyone really cares.

Bob Newhart (didn't saya word to me the whole trip)
Cheech Marin - very funny guy
John Irving - one of my favorite authors and a funny guy as well. I told him I read everything he wrote but may have missed one or two of the early books. He responded he probably should have missed one or two of them as well!)
Paul Rudd (Right after Dinner for Schmucks came out -very funny movie)
One of the Marsalis brothers and his band (don't remember which one) (playing with his band at the Sausalito Art & Wine festival. Had me stop at USF so they could rehearse for a hour or so...wouldn't let me come in while they were rehearsing
Emeril
Guy Fieri (didn't even know who he was at the time. Looked him up when I got home)
There were a few others but those are the ones I remember

I might have McCartney, Lennon AND Harrison on a long enough list.

Rush was decent, but not a big fan. I will say they are all excellent musicians.
I can’t get by the voice of the singer.
I would have liked Super Tramp more with a more traditional singer also although he is much better.
