How Climate ‘Science’ Got Hijacked by Alarmists

Climate alarmists insist there’s a “scientific consensus” that says climate change is a crisis and man causes it. Researcher Judith Curry says “it’s a manufactured consensus.”

Nutz and Dolts

Another set of perverted fake facts.
Ok - Judith Curry does accept all of the tenants of climate change science except the rate of change.
Curry thinks it is happening slower then the main consensus. But totally agrees it is happening for the consensus reasons.
So Curry is hardly a denier or naysayer.

Still that old man does worry me because Curry enters the political arena when it comes to what can be done to fix it and save the world. That’s where Curry suddenly becomes a strange bedfellow with the nuts and dolts and starts worrying about finances.
What facts are fake or perverted? Name two or three please.
Curry does not accept all the tenets of climate change. You just made that up and put it out there hoping no one checks it out. She says nothing about the rate of change. Another lie. She agrees there has been warming but that it is not a crisis! So Curry is hardly an alarmist.

How can you be so callous. She lost her job for doing her job. Everybody has to eat. Wanna talk about finances? Guess out how much money Fauci made during covid. Most of it from Russia and China. Sick.

Global warming and global freezing both happen.
The actual subject is global climate change.

Follow the ocean temps and be afraid - be very afraid because that is how all of the out of control moisture gets in the air leading to massive floodings and hurricanes and higher temperatures And freezing temperatures. Excessive Warm air effects the polar vortex which propels cold air into certain areas causing extreme freezing.
So there is depending on circumstances excessive heat or excessive freezing.

Global climate change is a catastrophe.
Thirty years ago those discussing it were viciously mocked by republicans because that is the Republican mentality.
Twenty years ago they started saying it is just a cycle because they are too dishonest to start talking truth.
Ten years ago after predictions came true they began to deny what was happening and accepted the word of 1% or less then 1% of the experts who either deny it outright or say something is happening but is is very very slow and gradual so ignore it.
And that is where we are today.

Conservatives world wide - can’t live with them and they will kill us as they never fail to perpetually promote their conspiracy theories.

Humans have failed. Dominion doesn't mean what most humans THOUGHT it did. Apparently, there was SUPPOSED to be an element of respect and preservation involved within "dominion". How would have thunk??

Nature's LAW as interpreted by ME is:

When harvesting natural global resources (any kind, fuel or food, groundwater, etc) harvest only 1 third of the resource available. NO MORE!
This allows the resource to recover and NOT be dissipated or over consumed.

The resource thus will not be over consumed.
Simple.
But beyond the grasp of humans who are themselves motivated by greed or fear, or selfish interest.
Well, MOST humans.
ANY native American (the original Americans!) knew/knows this Law of Nature well.
But, as in almost all of our historical interaction---------we didn't listen or learn.
Damn savages!
Why didn't they make us understand Nature's LAWS!!

ANY native American (the original Americans!)

Hurrah tree-huggers and smoke-signal senders ! What else did you do with 'your' land during your 15,000 - 20,000 years opportunity ? It only took European crossovers 200 years to go to the moon and world leaders in commerce and technology. And you're still mad. But go you !

Don't get me started.
If you are living in harmony with nature within peaceful and happy communities there is nothing wrong with that. The native Americans were never given a chance to grow technology at their pace and in accordance with their priorities.

They were always defending their land and their lives.
They were entitled to respect and reverence for their concerns and not treated as unworthy people who were squatters.

Personally I have deep reverence for their values and their rights and their struggle.

If I was in charge when reservations were established I would have given native Americans the entire states of Wyoming and North and South Dakota and they would have total control with political representation in the Senate.

No anger towards your comments. Just respectful sociable difference of opinion.

Please pass the pipe.

This is fine. You or anyone else being mad would be fine also. They're not the only ones still mad at stuff from hundreds of years ago still bent at us. Although I'm 51/49 slant toward republican but also a never Trumplican, I can see the attraction among many. Fair play and representation is fine; hey 2%'ers here's your 2%, 10%'ers here's your 10. But when 2% is demanding 50% etc guess whose part of the pie it comes out of ? And y'all think you're mad. A 2-hour 4-martini lunch would go a long way in understanding among the discerning thinker what's really up and why we've exercised extreme tolerance thus far.
My whole thing is Justice.
I believe with every fiber of my being that the native Americans were brutalized and exterminated and on their best day marginalized.
They were entitled to a different result.
It is an emotional issue for me.

It began way before Trump and long before Lincoln.
I don’t see it as a political issue. Just an injustice and a moral issue.

btw - you speak with forked tongue. :)

Chris Christie came to a fork in the road and he stopped and waited for dinner.

200 Years!!
Cripes. It only took us whites about 60 years to exterminate the American Bison, dam all the daggone rivers, imperil the existence of literally 100's of species here on the Continent for eons before we arrived, pollute our waterways and coastlines with sewage, overgraze the entire southwest, and let's not forget TRY and exterminate ANY HUMAN beings that stood in the way, and I haven't even mentioned the criminal mismanagement of OUR Public lands (and I could go on and ON about all the supposed fine stuff we have accomplished).

" European crossovers 200 years to go to the moon and world leaders in commerce and technology."

ACKKK!

WHAT is this you speak of and what exactly did it serve to advance the human condition?
Am I happier in my stick frame (and mortgage), and my need to go earn (do 40 it used to be called) to afford to exist..........
than I would be in my native shelter (tipi or wickieup, etc), arrising with the sun, harvesting my food naturally, raising my children from the Earth in the ways of my great grandfather, believing in my world, my god, and my power as human???

It's a legit question.

A very tough question for the Father of Texas for just one historical example.

And for me. I like my life and my world but I am aware of what we've forsaken.
The life we COULD have had with a tad more wisdom.

Custer was a fool. A foolhardy arrogant MORON who led his followers/charges to their deaths.................foolishly!
Those are historical conclusions gleaned from FACT!

And his stupidity was the final coffin for our Native peoples.
Also, historical fact.

But to conclude they lived their lives with less VALUE is completely and totally arrogantly foolish.
I try every day to include as much joy of LIFE (minute by minute) as I can do.
Second chances at living will do that to a feller.
I just HOPE I can live as happily and as freely as did the Apache, the Navajo, the Cheyenne, or the Sioux, or any of our Native peoples lived.............before we "subdued" and imprisoned them by FORCE, and thievery and took away their lifestyle.

We IMPOSED our lifeways on them. Very much against their will and to their detriment.
We have absolutely NOTHING to be proud of in our domination on this continent!

It was certainly NOT the ways of any Jesus I had taught to me.
Then Play/Pray on.
8/17/2023 12:46 PM (edited)
LOL.
Jesus giving us geniuses...........funniest line I've heard in a while.

And what?
You doubt I'm white?
That's funnier yet.
My cousin introduced me to WIS.
He's into genealogy and still around here.

Well back actually. He quit for a while.
But I digress.

He'll be REAL surprised to learn he's an Irish injun.

But I would be OK with being an actual American Tribal Member but I don't qualify and I doubt they'd have me.
Besides I agree with the axiom that any group that would want me to join is to be avoided.
I don't mix well.
Like it that way.
Keeps me away from more fools!

while I don't agree with everything lennybruce posts, I agree with him here. The native Americans were treated horribly, and still are today. They deserve more.

of course you call it bullshit. If anything doesn't jibe with your worldview, it can't be true. Open your mind a little. It doesn't hurt.

The list got messed up. I got living mixed in with the dead. It was confusing. There's a Buch of em. Too many to try to cut and paste.

I did see Jame Tour on there. He might be the most brilliant guy on the planet. Does nanotechnology. Another guy is Jason Lisle. I didn't see him on this list but I only did a quick scan. He's an astrophysicist. I'll be going to a banquet to see him later this year.

A book I like to recommend is "IN SIX DAYS" which are response letters from 50 scientists to the authors question of their belief in Creation. Excellent book and can be gotten at christianbook.com. Just type in "IN SIX DAYS" in the search bar and it should pop up. Highly recommended and worth the read.
You should have put it in the lists thread.
i found 2 spelling mistakes one hanging participle and a fragmented sentence .
