So, the program's censor allows you to write Dick but not ****? lol.

No original Star Trek or Carol Burnett Show?

Star Drek was definitely up there.
I know that the Carol Burnett Show is beloved but I’m just not a fan. I have a great Carol Burnett autograph.

on the censor - good catch. They let you write one or the other but not both together.

the Carol Burnett show was amazing. Definitely deserves to be on the list. Star Trek was good, but William Shatner bothers me.

This will be an ambitious list.
Favorite rock songs that are relatively obscure or overshadowed that I think deserve to be heard by rock fans. 20 disordered Gems.

1. Sub Rosa Subway - Klattu - if you like Pulling Mussels by Squeeze give this gem a listen.
2. Graham Parker - Mona Lisa - great ballad. Wylie likes this song. You will too.
3. XTC - Ballad of Peter Pumpkinhead - I think that John Lennon would have dug this one.
4. XTC - Dear God - searing and blunt. Again - a shame John Lennon never heard this brave song.
5. Bonnie Rait - Love Has No Pride - not really unknown but rarely played anymore and just an amazing song delivered by an amazing performer.
6. The Undertones - Teenage Kicks - literally a perfect pop song.
7. The Sex Pistols - Bodies - believe it or not a serious song about abortion that will shock you if you never heard it and play it loud.
8. Little Lamb Dragonfly - Paul McCartney - such a perfect Beatles song on Red Rose Speedway
9. Elvis Costello - From A Whisper To A Scream - from Trust with help from Squeeze.
10. The Jam - Going Underground - The Who would have made a deal with the devil to have this fist pumping anthem in their catalog.
11. Peter Holsapple and Chris Stanley / Angels
a stunning beautiful folk rock alternative song I have loved since the first time I heard it.
12. Iggy Pop - I’m Bored - what a voice!!!!! Yes he is the chairman of the bored
13. The Monkees - Shades of Gray - could have been covered by Susanna Hoffs and the Bangles
14. Steppenwolf - Renegade - an adventure of running from the Nazis on the tail of the narrator.
Fantastic and Doors like.
15. John Lennon - Woman Is The Rigger ( N ) Of The World - simultaneously one of the most compelling and brutal and political and coolest songs of all time.
16. The Dead Boys - Sonic Reducer - legendary punk classic
17. The Ramones - Danny Says - really cool and fun poppy ballad on End Of The Century album
18. Joey Ramone - What A Wonderful World - amazing remake on a solo album near the end of his life.
19. XTC - Making Plans For Nigel - has a bit of the early 70s Pink Floyd vibe.
20. Wire - Map Ref 41^W 93^N

If you think I know anything about music listen to these songs and enjoy.

3. The Jam - Down At The Tube Station
4. The Flaming Lips - Vaseline - find a poppier more fun song
5. Alex Chilton - Lipstick Traces - a remake that shows off the prowess of Alex Chilton. Bet you can’t listen just once
6. Johnny Thunders - Born To Lose - wait for the guitar break and bow. Nobody mocks the name Thunders!!!
7. The Eagles - James Dean
8. Ringo Starr - Time Takes Time
9. 999 - Crazy - rollicks
10. Mott The Hoople - Roll Away The Stone
11. Ian Hunter - Dandy - his tribute to his lifelong tribute David Bowie and it is a pop confection
12. The Sex Pistols - Holiday In The Sun ( Live ) I think 1977. Really strong.
13. The Ramones - The KKK Took My Baby Away

15. The Sonics - Bad Betty - from the return album about 10 years ago.
16. The Cramps - The Crusher - the funnest songs ever about wrestling
17. Elton John - Ballad Of Danny Bailey - if Elton John had not tried to stuff so many albums into 6 years and held back releases while he wrote he could have had an impeccable string of albums from 1970-1982 without a clunker. All 5 stars. McCartney made the same mistake in the 70s.
18. Paul McCartney - 3 from around the 1972 period / 2 never on an album and all 3 very very memorable

Hey Lenny,
You never answered my question:

speaking of Joe Lansdale, have you seen the series based on his Hap and Leonard series of novels? I think it is on Netflix, but I could be wrong. It's okay, but the books are much better (not really horror, but I do really like them). The TV show is missing a lot of the humor of the books.

It never really interested me.

I can understand that. I watched one season and stopped, but I love the books.
