Another pet peeve.
Believe it or not I am opinionated on Instagram.
Sometimes people disagree and reply to me and almost every single time they prevent a return reply.
Such arrogant cowards.

Tyson vs Ali would be very interesting. Pure power against cunning and intelligence.

Tyson was also very smart. He was a student of the game and out of the ring it was completely wrong to not regard him as a very intelligent person.
Also as a boxer he was tremendous defensive boxer.

I actually like CSNY's cover of Woodstock......................BUT the most sucessful cover of Woodstock was by

Mathews Southern Comfort (Ian Mathews band at the time).
Had the "hit" version. So to speak.

Also, ever heard Kieran Kane's version of "What a Wonderful World"??
It's awesome!

I've found over the years that lots of times the "Best" covers of something are versions no one has heard of.
Lesser known artists covering a well known song.
The Country dude who just won the CMA for Tracy Chapman's "Fast Car" has been covering that song for YEARS in his live shows.
Only his concert attending fans KNEW that. Right?

Howe about Jackson Browne's cover of O'Keefe's "The Road".
Not sure it's better than the original O'Keefe version but is was certainly more heard! (Successful?)

Have a good weekend wylie!

I like CSN & Y's version of Woodstock too. For many of those songs, just because I like the cover version better, that does not mean I don't think the original is good.
You have a good weekend too, Bob

1940s - Casablanca
1950s - A Streetcar Named Desire
1960s - Dr No

1980s - Glory
1990s - Groundhog Day
2000s - King Kong
2010s - Get Out
2020s - 1917 ( I did not see Oppenheimer )

I will have to think about it but I will attempt the same from popular music from the 1950s to this decade.

1950s - Songs For Swinging Lovers - Sinatra
1960s - I know most would say Sgt Peppers for the Beatles but I choose Magical Mystery Tour with Highway 61 nipping at its heals.
1970s - Born To Run - Bruce Springsteen
1980s - Sandinista - The Clash
1990s - Time Out Of Mind - The Bard
2000s - The Rising - Bruce Springsteen
2010s - National Ransom - Elvis Costello
2020s - Rough and Rowdy Ways - Bob Dylan
