I thought about Doncic instead of Lillard. He has much better rebounding and assists than Lillard. Ultimately I was concerned that it would be too challenging to play the backup minutes behind him without causing my team to swing between too much usage and not enough.

Luka is like the lesser defending Harden in the sim. One more season like the past 2 or 3 and he has to be a first rounder. I think him & Dame are borderline top 30 guys right now, so they went where they should have IMO. I would have loved pairing either with Shaq, that's for sure.

One thing for Luka is he’s a much better rebounder than harden and his best season actually is low tov. Once he’s gets a 5th season he definitely belongs in the first imo. His defense is really the only issue.

Right. And Harden is ... wait for it ... a defensive stopper in 4 of the 5 seasons I use.

ragged's got hella good frontcourt defense.

Luka is currently playing his way into a top 12 pick in regular draft leagues. I don’t think a sub 50 D rating will matter.

I love the big messy combo guards. Looking forward to building a team with his rookie season. Even the fifth best Mailman will win some games.

Lillard and Mailman would have been pretty good though, right? Lillard, Luka, Wade was my wishlist after passing on Harden.

Every team, no matter how good, will have warts in Savage. It's making the most out of what you got while not getting hammered by said warts that makes the difference. For example, I came in 3rd with Jokic before the 22-23 seasons were out.

Holiday was the other guy I considered in the spot. He's such a great Savage player now.

But yeah I really, really like this frontcourt fit - the defense is great, and so clean too. Plus Big Ben plays hella minutes. I don't think he's fallen this far in a while.

So was Stockton a steal, did he move into the right spot or should he have dropped more? Im not certain I would’ve picked him even if he came to me at 45.

Eye of the beholder. I have him lower, iirc he finished 2nd once going in the 1st round. He has a pretty broad range, he is someone like Rodman that is hard to fit into a slot.

Stockton is someone I've always struggled to use. But candidly I didn't realize he was still around, lol

Moses is very very good and should be going much higher than he has been lately.

The biggest trend you’ll find in this league’s drafts is that half the coaches look at the team/teams that won recently, look at the areas they were good at and assume that is the only way to win and only draft players that fit that mold. So a bunch of one player type goes too high for a while and a bunch of one player type goes too low for a while. Then it reverses because the winning teams have capitalized on the reverse trend.

Bam and Butler were at the top of my wish list, though I didn't think they would drop.

Very happy with Butler/Giannis. Wasn’t sure if Butler was a reach but he was very important to my plans so I went for it.
