Savage XIII Rosters/Commentary Topic

I usually never know what I am doing until like round 7 or 8. I just try and stay flexible, take the best players, not box myself in as long as possible and then figure out how to plug holes the last few rounds.

This season I have deviated from how I usually draft. I can't tell if my team is much worse or just different. Probably need to get to that round 7 or 8 checkpoint to tell.

That's one of the reasons why I'm not a huge Shaq fan. There have been multiple opportunities to take a primary center that I just haven't been able to do so. I have no idea how this is going to turn out, but I like to throw guys around in the team builder as I'm drafting to keep myself from making an unfixable mistake on down the road.

I’ve always used 77-78 Marques. Lower shooting percentage but 10/20 rebounder. That used to be harder to find at SF. His most expensive season is 98% at SG and a little low on boards for SF. I think he’ll do well with Luka helping out with defensive boards. I’m happy with his five best seasons.

As far as Adp goes it’s not but Mcadoo seems like a steal.

jethro is serving some fire with CP3/Kobe/Portis/Oakley/Moses

Oakley in the 4th is a bit of a stretch imo but I'm right there with you on everything else

If anyone wants to discuss odds, I am down to put some money on jethro not finishing last this season.

Butler
green
Giannis/Green
Dirk/Giannis
Robinson.

lots of defense. A lot of defensive rebounding. Orebounding is a bit light but at least I have Mitchell Robinson. Weighted efg for my teams are all in the 55+ range currently and butler/Dirk really help my tov. If I can fill out my team you guys better watch out. I think this is my best group yet.

one pick away from portis....thought for sure i was getting him

had to switch up my plans and roll the dice with lavine...its hard to break 10+ years of chasing ast% at the pg spot

Yeah it all comes down to the filling out (that's the case for every savage team but probably even more for yours). That group will be pretty good for the minutes they play together. But you have a lot of holes to fill and it looks to me like you're going to have a real challenge finding backups who can approximate what your starters do.

From a usage standpoint, Green backing up Giannis seems strange, but I guess when your starting lineup is 120+, you have usage to spare.

No Giannis has two seasons at PF only so Green gets two seasons at SF. Then they both move up to sg/sf for the other3.

I’ve been scouting my future picks and I think it’s very doable. We’ll see but I like my potential options in round 6-8.

I really hated that Otto Porter pick...

...but only because I wanted him.

Thanks I think he fits my team well. Give me some much needed SG minutes and provides a good number of 3s. Wish he was a better defender.

I didn’t know Darius Miles was an nba player.
