Shohei Ohtani question:

Am I correct in these two assumptions:
1) He can only be drafted once (as opposed to being able to be drafted twice, once as a hitter and once as a pitcher)
2) Whoever drafts him only gets to roster one version of him, either hitter or pitcher, not both (as opposed to being able to roster both his hitting and pitching version from the same season)

I'm pretty sure these assumptions are correct, but I know he's different than other hitter/pitchers who are only listed with one version per season.

In Ohtani's case (and only in Ohtani's case) I don't see why both the pitcher and the position player can't be drafted. It is a unique situation with him. On days he pitches, he hits. When he's not pitching, he's still a hitter. Unless someone can explain to me why it wouldn't be right to do so, I don't have an issue with both versions being available.

So if someone drafts him, they would have to choose hitter or pitcher at that time, and the other version would remain available to anyone to draft?

Works for me.

Can't wait to see Ohtani (batter) vs Ohtani (pitcher) matchup.

RED, that is correct.
