Want to post a quick RULES clarification:
  • The random team that starts each round is considered to be off-the-board for the remainder of the draft. No player can be twisted back to these teams.
The reason for this is the 'no backtracking' principle. If we allowed an owner to twist a player to a team that started a previous round, the next owner would find himself in the exact same position as a previous owner did earlier in the draft (except with even fewer options).

Teams can make only one appearance in the draft, and starting a round counts for this purpose.

Just remember: two players on the 2017 Diamondbacks were taken in the first round. So, in addition to Paul Goldschmidt, the following players are off-the-board:
  • Zack Greinke
  • Ketel Marte
The following D-Backs teams are also off-the-board:
  • 2019 D-Backs
  • 2020 D-Backs
  • 2022 D-Backs
  • 2023 D-Backs

True, as was Zac Gallen, although neither played for the 2017 Diamondbacks, so they aren't options for Ribbentrop anyway.
