Thoughts
I ended up being pretty happy with Garnett and Pippen, but McHale underwhelmed me. He had two seasons I liked, two I was meh with and a fifth I hated. The team I won the 'ship with started 5-14 and one of the changes I made to turn that team around was play McHale less. Drexler was awesome. Between him, Garnett and Pippen just having three guys that can get you a triple double any night is great. Drexler mostly played PG for me. I wish he shot more 3s but that was my only gripe. That was the biggest issue with the team all season. You can tell I f***ed a lot of picked because my 12th rounder, Rasheed, played the 5th most minutes on my team. I can't remember who complained about him recently, I think it was ash or dBKC, but when he is playing a lot it usually doesn't go well for the team. I just had a lot of low minutes guys and on top of that he helped me juice the 3s a little bit. I usually complain about taking Timelord in the 5th as too early. Where I took him I actually had a ton of minutes and it kind of made sense. But then I ended up taking too many low minutes guys which led to a lot of 'Sheed. I thought I would play Hornacek more and Wright less, but I had to pivot like 20 games into the season and Hornacek became a pure 4th guard except for matchups where I knew a team would go minus defense on me. Bynum, Amir, Lee were all fine, no complaints. GPIII, it is hard to justify taking someone who only plays 15 MPG for one team, not sure why I have done it twice now. I played Wright more than I wanted, maybe if I took a guard in the McHale spot and a big in the Wright spot this team would have been stronger. Strength of this team was just being able to always but an elite defender on the three best scorers, got lots of steals, didn't make too many turnovers or fouls. B-, happy with the crown but if we played this season 100 times I think I only win it like 5-10 times. Was probably only maybe the fourth best team max.
