I can help if needed ... I rate myself as average ability here

The KC Westport Bus Drivers at Forbes Field (1948 Pirates) --- Current Payroll: $79,843,669

All the Player Listings are simply Copy and Paste from View Performance History ...

Used 5 Tabs : 1 Tab for the Bad Neighbor Draft Entries and 4 for the 4 Assigned Year/Team(s) to compare Diamond Positions and Pitchers ...

Comments :

Was able to keep entire infield that I chose as Starters to begin with in the Draft Center Process ...

I had to do without chosen $6.9 Mil 1978 Amos Otis in CF and have last year 1968 Mickey Mantle in RF ... It seems as if I would not have been able to use the Daggered OF Kiner even at $6 Mil! as I needed to downgrade my entire Outfield considering $ per PA to keep intact there again my entire Infield including Catcher

Do not know what to think of my Pitching Staff --- how it will perform ... I would have chosen the Daggered 1968 Stan Bahnsen -- but even at $7.5 Mil he seems in retrospect too expensive ! ...

This appears to be an invalid roster. You have only 4 OFs (not 5), 4 1Bs (not 2), 1 SS (not 2), 1 C (not 2), and 11 P (not 10).

The only positions with the right number of players are 2B and 3B, where you have two players apiece.

Short reminder of roster rules (details on page 1)
80m salary cap. List your total salary and stadium.
6 players from each of the 4 teams (7 from one)
Exactly two players whose primary position is C, 1B, 2B, 3B, and SS.
Exactly 5 whose primary position is OF (UTIL means OF in this league)
Exactly 10 pitchers. SP/RP decisions are yours and come later.
Players must be on the TEAM roster as defined by WIS - that's why I posted a google sheet to help prevent errors. If your version's salary is different, they do not work. It has to be the version matching the exact salary.

Thank you j_willis for being on that - and also I suspect your WIS intervention helped with posting.

^^^ There is an adage in this league that if you think you got your roster to work out easily you probably missed something.

C-Burns02 conveyed to me that Steve Dillard is his dagger against Seay00. "I like the idea of making him pay more for a backup 2B"

The park dagger hits Sportsman's Park (Browns)

jbar8888 is invited to join the 1988 American League in throwing dagger #2 at the glorious 1988 Chicago White Sox.

Posting still not working for him, but he can read it all.

Redcped We dagger Danny Jackson and RFK Stadium (Washington)
That was exactly the dagger I expected. It hurts to lose your best SP, no doubt about it.

kentol, I'm going to have to offer up the 1968 Senators to you for the second dagger. Just hoping I'm not saying "Et tu, kentol" afterwards. The Ides of March have passed, so maybe I'll be OK.

And we can play players who are not rated at various positions?

I believe players can only play at positions where they are rated.

You can only play anyone at a position where they have a defensive rating. So if your SS has ratings at 2B and 3B, you can start him there. But if he has no rating in the OF, you can't play him there.

Do note that some of the players designated Util have to count as an OF, but they may not have OF ratings and can't actually play there during the season. I actually have two such guys, Ken Phelps and Steve Balboni, from my 88 Mariners. If I use them as OF for roster purposes, they can only actually play 1B during the season.
