I highlighted the teams that dropped out of round 3 (red) and the teams that move up into round 3 (in blue).
Did I qualify ultimately because you have too many teams in the next round?
Both footballmm11 and I have too many qualifying teams, so we both drop out. That enables both you (80-82) and 3dyarotation (80-82) to move up. barracuda3 bowed out in this league, which means toysboys (78-84) also moves up.

I qualified 3 teams, all tied for 5th or in 6th in their group. Missed the playoffs by 1, 1, and 2 games.
This round seemed to have the most parity that I can remember in any of the past juice tournaments.

This league saw 28.8% of the games finish with a margin of 1 run. This is by far the highest percentage of 1-run games since I've been keeping track of the stats. It's almost always right around 25%.

Makes my 4-14 and 1-9 choke down the stretch more palatable. Win-win. Qualify for next round and don’t have to follow three more Royals games.

Five teams missed out on advancement with Exp% > .510. Luckily, four of the 5 were schwarze, pedrocerrano, and myself, so they would have been relinquished anyway.

Only 3 teams had above .500 records and didn't finish Top 6 in their franchise. How about this...ALL THREE WERE njbigwig! At least one of his teams (the Expos) got bumped in thanks to a removal.

L3 Bigwig's Expos (85/13/91) Zimmerman 83-79 njbigwig
L4 Bigwig's Padres (94/06/12) Ozzie 83-79 njbigwig

On the flip side, five teams initially qualified with below .500 records (another 5 got bumped in by teams that got removed). Two Brewers franchises plus one each from the Rangers, Mets, and Royals.

Royals 1993, 1975 , 1983 80-82 schwarze

I'm crowning Pedrocerrano as the winner of Phase 2. He had 7 teams and his overall .554 Exp% was the 2nd-highest of any owner, behind only BeAllEndAll who only had one team. pedro's 54.2% Win% was 3rd-best, behind BeAll and emanes10 (who had two teams).

He won 90+ with 4 of his teams and will pick 2nd, 6th, 8th, and 19th in the next round. Those teams ranked 1st (Brewers), 1st (Royals), 2nd (Padres), and 3rd (Mets) within their franchise.

Even two of his lower-win teams--his 81-win Angels and 77-win Expos--were much better than their record, both with Exp% around .527 which is around an 85-win pace. He really only had one below average team--his Astros won 76 games and had a .491 Exp%.

Congrats pedro!

football - thanks for the write-up. It was an enjoyable round - but only round 4 really matters. GL to you (and everyone else) in round 3.

Based on the final rankings, my eight teams are ranked..... 5, 7, 22, 23, 25, 48, 70, 74
Instead, when use Expect Win%, my teams are ranked....... 5, 8, 9, 24, 32, 38, 41, 70
It's not the same order - re-arranging to match the top line.. 5, 9, 24, 38, 8, 41, 32, 70

In other words, the 8th best team overall (based on Exp Win%) is only ranked 25th overall (based on record) and since that team is my fifth best team (Nationals), they do not advance. Also, based on Exp Win%, I have the 32nd best team (Brewers), but due to poor 1-run game luck, they finished 70th overall.

Meatloaf was an underachiever, "two out of three ain't bad." Amateur!

Pretty amazing that every league has at least 1 play-in game.

I don't think League 1 (HOU/TEX) does
