Well, a complete lack of fielding even mediocre teams recently had me contemplating NBA sim retirement. However, upon learning this was a really, really stupid idea for a theme, I have decided it might be right up my alley.

Anyway, he wanted me to check this league out, but I have done that many times in the past. I think the whole idea is really really stupid for a basketball sim league, and besides, I don't want to play in another league where everybody wants the same 20 guys or so, Curry, LeBron, Jordan, Kareem, Wilt, Duncan, Stockton, etc....I'm tired of leagues where 14 teams have LeBron and 12 teams have Curry, and like that. I want a league where there is only one of each player, and preferably not modern players.

This league has never had those guys you listed in the same season. Once in a while, one or maybe two of those guys will slip through and make it to someone's roster.

I thought this theme would be perfect for you. No salary cap. No clones. Modern superstars very rarely make it through to a roster. If you want to use older era players, you can probably get several of them on your roster.

Only a few older players can even compete with modern players. Bill Russell is a below average player in 24 team leagues full of modern players.

The rules of this league make it very much luck as to who ends up with good teams. Trying to guess which player you may get because you're the only one to mention them is nuts. You might as well just pick player's names out of a hat to make up the teams.

Bill Russell is a 2nd round pick in both Savage and the Midge $52, where every player in history is available. How is that below average?

You've mentioned many times in the forums that you prefer leagues with no salary cap. As to the question of why you would prefer that, only you can answer that.
