I only see one thread here that has had any posts in the past 3 weeks. I'd like to play a season, but it's just too tough to get 24 teams together. Whatif has been telling us for many years now that they will add leagues that will be smaller. That is really needed. They need to allow 8 team leagues, 12 team leagues, 16 team leagues, etc. If they finally do that there will be a lot more action around.

I have no interest in an open league with clones and the same 15-20 players that everybody uses over and over.

Literally the reason they exist.

The banned season league just posted if you want to join. It might be some familiar players but definitely some seasons you never would normally see.

And next season of the OG banned league I think would be perfect for you.

For example: The current leader in MVP voting is Spencer Haywood AND that team has the best record. The next two up in the MVP voting is Tracy McGrady and Walt Bellamy.

The baseball game I am playing now only allows a player to be on one team in any league. They also have different size leagues with 8 teams, 12 teams, 16 teams or 24 teams.

The only Idea I could think of is to have a banned draft league, which is awesome, but doesn't have a lot of staying power.

I have thought about a draft where the first round is everyone picking players to ban, then the 2nd round is people picking their players, then alternating it like that, or something similar to that but that as a commissioner would be a pain to keep up with AND normal drafts take a ridiculous amount of time to complete as is and that would take twice the normal amount of time.

I like the idea of them adding flexibility to the amount of players in a league but I have found it to be more productive to use the system we got because I have no control if they add that feature.

I tried to start the Under $7 million Dollar League, where any player who has any season where he makes $7 million or more is not eligible. Only players whose highest salaried season is under $7 million would be eligible. Many players who are not normally used would be in the league, but I only got 8 owners.

If these Whatif guys would come through with what they have promised for years now and make smaller size leagues possible, we could have an 8 team league. It would be so easy for them to do. Two 4 team divisions where you play the 3 teams in your division 14 times (42 games) and the 4 teams in the other divisions 10 times (40 games) for an 82 game schedule.

But no, only 24 team leagues are possible so this idea went down the toilet.

CLEARLY they would have a load of more leagues going if they would make 8 team leagues, 12 team leagues, and 16 team leagues available.

Unfortunately the dopes who make these decisions here are not even working on making smaller size leagues available. I just got this back from an inquiry I made.

Although there are future plans for different scheduling formats, as of right now they are not in active development. There should be some bigger news we are hoping to share in the coming weeks, and with that will likely be sharing the development timeline for features across games.
