Jubilee Progressive

The Jubilee progressive is based on the concept that every 7 years, in times gone by, slaves were freed, debts forgiven and property restored. That final point is the concept the Jubilee Revisited Progressive League (JRPL) is based. League owners have the player rights to their chosen franchise returned to them every seven seasons. During the six seasons between, via rookie draft and trades, owners try to improve their franchise beyond what their MLB counterparts were able to field and best that MLB Won/Loss Percentage. That is a personally satisfying (or discouraging) unique challenge to the league. The other challenge is much more traditional....make the playoffs, win the World Series.

We just finished 1988, which was the second year of the jubilee cycle, and we're looking for a new owner for the Seattle Mariners to take over for the 1989 draft. The roster is listed below. Seattle has the 3rd pick in the upcoming draft, so you can make a pretty big upgrade with that pick. If you're interested, I can send you all the specific details of the league.

1989 Seattle Mariners - choose any number of keepers from this roster:

C	Valle, Dave
C	Bradley, Scott
1B	Davis, Alvin
2B	Hudler, Rex
2B	Reynolds, Harold
3B	Presley, Jim
3B	Velarde, Randy
SS	Quinones, Rey
OF	Buhner, Jay
OF	Brantley, Mickey
OF	Moses, John
OF	Bradley, Phil
OF	Stubbs, Franklin
DH/1B	Phelps, Ken
DH/OF	Baines, Harold
P	Bankhead, Scott
P	Campbell, Mike
P	Guetterman, Lee
P	Langston, Mark
P	Moore, Mike
P	Morgan, Mike
P	Powell, Dennis
P	Reed, Jerry
P	Viola, Frank
P	Witt, Bobby

We’re starting the playoffs now - perfect time to jump in and get ready for the next season!

Lots of good players to pick at 3rd in the 1989 draft!

Another positive for this league - draft order is determined by real-life records, not sim records, so there is no benefit in tanking. It makes for a more competitive league!

I'm interested. But I would like some more details on how the league works. Sitemailing.
