I've played HBD for a long time and many seasons. Recently, I've started seeing IFAs and Draft prospects with really whacky ratings.

Great Contact, Great Power, Great BE, but under 10 against lefties and righties. I guess he gets that great contact when someone pitches with their nose?

Pitchers with 89 against RHB and under 5 with LHB.

Players with 0 range and 75 Glove, etc. (I guess if they can't move the ball sticks?)

The one below isn't as drastic as some I'm seeing, but is an example.

I assume you're running nearly 20 in all your relevant scouting ratings... even at 12-15 you can get some moderately crazy stuff.

For example, the guy above is exactly how I would see a SS with decent power and eye and good contact (like, 60 contact and power, 50 eye) but terrible splits-- if I were running 8-ish million in INTL. SS with those kind of ratings appear fairly commonly.

Here's one from today...
He bats and throws right, but can't hit lefties (or get righties out as a pitcher).
The zero contact is also interesting. Is that even a baseball player?
Not earth shattering...I just think that when bugs crop up they don't fix things anymore...just code around them or make something random.

Anyway, I haven't seen this kind of drastic ratings much if at all, and I've been playing for a pretty long time (since before they started contracting leagues).

I have noticed the RH bat good vs RHP and bad vs LHP (and vice versea) thing recently.

I've seen hitting ratings all over the board since I've been playing so I'm not surprised by those. His fielding ratings are a bit off though. Usually you only see wacky stuff like that with DITR's

I don't think this is a player generation thing. I looked at Amaral's current ratings and they're fairly normal-shaped:



The problem is that your $20M in INTL is way worse than it should be, so your projections are whacked, not the player. I'd send a ticket.
