Update: We have been stuck here for 4 hours and 40 minutes. fatboydad54 has not opened any of my sitemails today.

First of all, does anyone else in this draft have another way to contact him? I do not.

I am tempted to just give him the next available number, which is 9 and we can all move on.

I will hold off for now but if anyone has an alternative method of reaching him, please reach out.

I don't think there's any urgency, and he is a very engaged owner generally.

Is there any reason the top 8 can't start drafting in the meantime? Will that change anything?

I am not going to make a pick for fatboydad54 tonight. We filled overnight and got the draft order set almost immediately. We will have to revisit that when I wake up at 10am eastern (7am pacific). I do have a couple of proxies to use tonight if fatboydad54 does pick.

As for picking players before the full draft order is set, I think that would change things. If I had not yet picked my draft order slot, I would be tempted to see how the first 8 picks played out since there would be nothing preventing that strategy. I can't see anyone picking a draft position when that information would be so imminent, in my opinion.

Makes sense. I figured at least the first 4 picks might be something in the realm of predictable, though.

njbigwig and ronthegenius sent me proxies. I accidentally erased all of the inbox items I wanted to keep so I cannot paste them in.

I think they are both East Coast so I will ask them to post themselves in the morning.
