Serious Exploit or Bug? What am I Missing? Topic

Every single time I was on offense and ran the ball the defense did a CB blitz. 42 runs/42 CB blitzes

Every single time I passed = no CB blitz.

This happened the entire game regardless of down/distance/score. It was not scouting because on 1st down I pass 66.7% of the time...and still, on every one of those runs there was a CB blitz and every pass was no blitz.

Thoughts?

It's easier to see if you put the game into GD Analyst scouting

its something with his play calling Soupy....I played him the game before you and he blitzed every time I ran the ball as well. Weird

Even on a qb scramble he blitzed....its like the game knew what was going to happen before the play even went off.....

So he's found another game exploit it looks like.

Well you won the game while rushing for 240 yards so I'm not sure I would call it an exploit...........it's interesting though for sure!

Winning doesn't change things. It's a bug or an exploit. It's kind of a big deal.

I figured it might be a recording thing but its too exact

My take: If the CB is set to 100% blitz and the playbook says 100% blitz the CB will always blitz on runs BUT since the CB is hardwired in the program to COVER that may override blitz setting on pass plays and the CB will default to cover.

I do use CB blitz at times and that has never happened, but, I never do it with a 4-4 defense. That would leave you with only 2 DBs. Maybe as you suggested, the coding doesn't allow only 2 DBs during a pass?

This makes the most sense to me

That explanation, for that scenario, actually makes a LOT of sense.

IF that is true, then it is something that COULD be exploited.

I’m in the boat as well. It makes sense, it could be exploited as the wishbone king says

I don't think that is it. I run the 4-4, and I am able to blitz my CBs/FS on pass plays.

I will say it is interesting that your opponent is relatively new and has had so much success. And how did he jump right into a D-II school after being out of the game for 123 seasons?
