It's probably time to go on the clock. One round per day, 30 minute time slots.

I have proxies for ermocito. I'll be up a few more hours.

The problem with time slots in a league like this is that each round provides a unique opportunity for some owners to get the best players on a franchise. If someone drafting in the top few spots gets skipped for a few hours, they'll wind up with a significant penalty in player quality in some cases. And then you could see owners just walk away, especially if someone got skipped on their "double" pick.

I think it's best to show some patience as the first couple rounds unfold and settle in because it won't be super fast regardless.

Well, I would hope that people would *know* when they have the first pick in a round and not get skipped.

I've learned over many years of running drafts... if you don't set a timeline, some people just don't care to pick in a timely matter.

At the current pace, it may take 6 weeks to complete this draft.

I hear you, and I will get to your position in far less than 6 weeks. But although I've been refreshing a lot this evening, the first several picks were in before I knew the draft had started or fully understood the drafting model. This was due to a two day drive.
My hope is that people will start using proxies when they are soon up if they have time conflicts. I think draft slots sometimes lead people to stop refreshing until their time is approaching.

We’ll see what later tonight and tomorrow brings. Hopefully once we get the first round done, everyone will know to check in more often and we can get into a groove.

I will say that I waited to make my first picks in this round because I wasn’t sure the draft had officially opened. Others may have been similarly unaware. I don’t think that will be a problem in subsequent rounds.

I sent mjoyce103 a sitemail to see what might be going on. He sent me a note late yesterday afternoon with a question so I know he is aware of the draft. I suspect there might be some confusion as to where/how the draft is taking place.

Again…. Once we get through the first round, and everyone is aware that we are moving and are on board with the process, I think things will start to flow.
