I don't want any ill will between us dB. we've been around way too long and are in way too many leagues together to have something between us. I don't actually care where I draft in any league, first, last, or in between, so it really isn't about the pick. (and Gobert is a great pick in that spot, which is why we both went for the trade)
I was more upset by your editing a post that involved a draft pick. I just don't think anyone should add / delete / or edit a name for a draft pick to a prior post. Even 30 seconds later. I did that before many years ago to Gerry and he called me on it right away.

From my perspective, we must have posted within a second of each other because I did not see your post there before I posted "Gobert" because you need to refresh this forum to see new stuff, so it looked like the posts appeared at the same time to me with your "confirmed" being posted first. Then your Gobert appeared a short time later, but in the post before mine. It looked to me like you read my post... and then edited your original post to include my pick. That's what it looked like to me.

But you are a good owner and I know that you would have taken Gobert regardless if you had seen my pick or not, and you did confirm the trade before I did, so no ill will about the pick.

I don’t think this is the same as those other scenarios. I posted to confirm the trade, which is standard practice. And I didn’t change my pick, I just added it in hopes of keeping the thread clean (lotta good that did lol). “Editing a pick” usually implies changing a pick, which is not what happened here. I just didn’t want to junk up the thread and that backfired on me.

I think you’re a great owner but I hope you know I would’ve taken Gobert either way. He’s pretty clearly the pick there and there was no outside influence on it.

Anyway I’m going to leave it here and name my team the Pancake Eating MFers if that’s okay.

There is only one pancake-eating mf'er here and that's me.

It has been a weird day. I was able to spend the morning with my brother-in-law. (41 years old) He was diagnosed with liver and pancreatic cancer earlier this year and had surgery to remove it three weeks ago. I have seen him a bunch, but just to drop something off or pick up his kids.

I always had a retirement party for a coworker and have been hoping to take her spot, but they are not hiring.

I also auditioned to be in a musical (first time in 15+ years) with my kids. Call backs cam in this afternoon and they love your boy.

I also had to rush home to get the kids to dance because one of my wife's student's dad died unexpectedly this week and the service was today.

I say all of that because it is probably not a great practice to put a trade offer out that way. I just didn't want to slow things down or even have it on my mind in the moment.

I'm feeling left out, can someone call me a breakfast-consuming MF too?
