The 24 Rules League - Full (again) Topic

Ok, this should work:

You must draft at least one player who has an O-Pee-Chee hockey card #149, from the O-Pee-Chee years/seasons 1968-69 to 1992-93, inclusive. The card #149 must be in the regular O-Pee-Chee NHL set, so that doesn't include separately numbered sets like inserts, box bottoms, WHA, etc. Special designation cards (All Star, Team Leader, Trophy, etc.) within the regular set are ok - any card #149 within the main set for that year is fine. No twisting - you must draft the season of their #149 card. Hockeydb has card lists for reference.

Welcome, wendeltroy! Those rules were definitely worth waiting for. Now, if Nick will open his sitemail(s) or email(s) I think he will join and hopefully fill the last 2 spots.

"3 players will have become TV or radio broadcasters in their post retirement endeavours"
A couple of questions with this rule:
a) do they have to be current TV/radio broadcasters
b) so podcast guys, colour commentators, game analysts don't count?? (i.e Ray Whitney, PK Subban, Kevin Bieksa)
c) Is there some kind of database of past/present broadcasters?

No, no need to be current.
Yes, all those talking heads count.
Maybe, but I would rely on Wikipedia, perhaps.

Hope that helps

it might not be too efficient, but i did a google search "historical broadcasters for [team]" that provides some good results.

I’ll try a team.

rule: Draft a player who played at least 5 nhl seasons, AND COACHED for at least 5 NHL seasons.
As a player, is it 5 WIS seasons or 5 RL seasons?

Since Nick Neely has not opened his sitemails or replied to my emails I suppose you might as well. And Jon offered the same, so essentially once I add your rules, we will be full...and then the real work starts! Ugh!

Pick a player who played in the 1950s
1950-51 to 1959-60

Pretty simple.

Thankfully!

2 teams, 2 rules... Let's hear it for #2

Between 2005-06 & 2024-2025 seasons only, select a player that finished 2nd in voting for:
Rule 1: Frank J Selke Trophy
Rule 2: James Norris Memorial Trophy

You must use the year they finished second in voting (no twisting) and your Selke player MUST play on your #1 PK Unit and your Norris player MUST play on your #1 PP Unit
Posted rule states "from" 2005-06 and 2024-25...Beeb's post states "between" 05-06 and 2024-25
I need clarification.

Between. So, 1 runner-up for the Selke from any season from 2005-06 through 2024-25, but you must use that season in which your he finished 2nd in voting. for example: 2018-19, Mark Stone came in second for the Selke. You can select him but must use that season. He must also play on your top PK Unit

Same for Norris. Example: 2007-08, Dion Phaneuf came in second for the Norris. You can select him, but must you that season. He must also play on your top PP unit.

Use the follow: List of all the NHL & WHA Awards and Honors | Hockey-Reference.com as your reference point. You can search by Award then year from here.
These two rules are unusable. I can’t find any size, including the site included in your post, which lists the second place for each year. Can we change this to the actual winners?
