redcped, here are your boxes:

1) ATL at LAD - 7/21/2017
https://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/LAN/LAN201707210.shtml

2) LAA at BALT - 8/3/2010
https://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/BAL/BAL201008030.shtml

3) HOU at NYM - 6/10/1972
https://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/NYN/NYN197206100.shtml

4) MIL at BALT - 7/2/1986
https://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/BAL/BAL198607020.shtml

5) BKN at BOS N - 6/28/1910
https://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/BSN/BSN191006280.shtml

6) DET at CLE - 7/4/1916
https://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/CLE/CLE191607042.shtml

7) DET at NYY - 6/21/1941
https://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/NYA/NYA194106210.shtml

8) CHC at BOS N - 8/16/1931 - NL - Braves Field
https://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/BSN/BSN193108161.shtml
1) Alex Wood, Josh Fields, Tyler Flowers, Austin Barnes
Wood is the best SP I had available, and Fields is the only RP with an ERC# below 3. Flowers and Barnes share catching duties as they were the two best available.

2) Luke Scott, Francisco Rodriguez, Alfredo Simon
Scott emerged from a really deep group of OF I had to choose from, mostly because I had to use 3 players. The other two are cannon fodder in the pen.

3) Don Wilson, Cesar Cedeno, Bobby Fenwick
Wilson is in the rotation. Cedeno mans CF with great speed and will be a key to the offense. Fenwick is one of the 5 scrubs on my bench who cost a combined $1.2M.

4) Cal Ripken Jr., Rick Manning, Juan Castillo
Ripken is self-explanatory. Manning fills the PA Scott can't cover. Castillo is in the scrub committee.

5) George Bell, Bill Sweeney, Happy Smith
Don't let Bell's 10-27 record for the Superbas fool you. He shouldn't have been any worse than 15-22 maybe. He's got the most IP on my staff and had better not suck. Sweeney was mostly a SS with awful defense but played a bit at 3B with B/A+ ratings, so that works out at a shallow position. Smith is another scrub but at least he has good OF range.

6) Tris Speaker, Joe Evans, Marty Kavanagh
I had two splurge options in the OF if I could make a $10M+ salary work and chose Speaker over DiMaggio. The other two are scrubs.

7) Joe Gordon, Tiny Bonham, Norm Branch
Gordon mans 2B and was the best option there. Bonham is one of the few decent pitchers I've got and will basically be one of two trusted relievers. Branch is in the pen, too, but he walks too many guys alas.

8) Charlie Root, Fred Frankhouse, Charlie Grimm
Root is the final piece in my rotation. Frankhouse is long man. Grimm beat out a couple better-known 1B from 2017 (Freeman and Bellinger), but I had all the spots used from that box.

All told, it's a pretty weak pitching staff but we're playing in a strong pitchers park that might help out. There were only two guys with WHIP# under 1.10 (Wood and Fields), and they only bring 200 IP between them. I've got a good defense behind them, at least. Speaker and Cedeno set the table with high OBP and speed, and hopefully the guys behind them can do a little damage. I don't have high hopes for this squad, and the division is loaded. I'm expecting roughly a .500 season.

Just one this time around. 2012 Casey Janssen and his 64 IP at 0.89 WHIP#. Everyone else is over 1.15.
