Generally, does GPA impact how fast a player can 'learn' a formation? Does it impact growth of any particular attribute, say GI or TECH?

Lastly, are there any roles less impacted by a low GPA? I ask that based on GPA having some amount of impact on player development and performance.

AFAIK, GPA does not have any impact on player attribute growth, but GPA definitely impacts Formation IQ growth.

Concur....and it's noteworthy that GPA does NOT improve - ever! So whatcha see is whatcha stuck with!
