Just a brutal run for all my teams...
League 8
After taking a 1-0 World Series lead, we lose 4 straight, including two shutouts and two 1-run games.
League 9
?Was 67-52. Gone 1-7 since (four 1-run losses). This is a highly competitive NL where six of the eight teams are projected win 86+ games (meaning 2 won't advance)
League 10
Was 20 games over .500 before recent 3-14 run. Now basically playing .500 ball since then. My supposed best real-life pitcher ('02 Lowe, 1.99 erc#) is my team's worst pitcher (6.46 era). My team's supposed best real-life hitter ('06 Hafner, .308/.439/.659) has been benched for sucking so bad (.183/.319/.283). Luckily, leading a bad AL West division.
League 11
Was hanging around .500 until a recent 2-6 skid. My 2nd round pick ('09 Carpenter) has a 6.03 ERA. Sadly, that is the best ERA among my five SPs. Sure - you can blame my home park (Hilltop) for bad pitching. I have a 6.62 ERA at home and a 5.51 ERA on the road. I assumed that the upside of playing in Hilltop is that my hitters would benefit, yet my offense has .273/.361/.433 slash at home a .273/.365/.447 slash on the road. WTF? How is that even possible?
League 12
Hanging around .500 all year (currently 27-28). This is how a home park is supposed to affect your team. Remember that in this league, I drafted pitchers early and often for the only time in round. On the road, my team ERA is ranked 4th in the league (4.44). At home (Bennett Park), we're dead last (5.93). Overall, my team ERA is worse than footballmm11, who drafted all hitters first (4.77 to 5.11). How is that possible?
Offensively, we're 3rd in OPS at home (.860) and somehow, fourth on the road (.791). The 4-11 record in 1-run games is why my W-L record isn't better
