Tell me this irrational and that you have success doing this, since it would make lineup & roster construction easier.

I think it stems from seeing both players begin epic slumps at the plate and I can't get over it, lol.

Any other superstitions, it is simulating baseball after all.

It's truly uncanny.

I always read "play-by-play only" without knowing the final score. You know, for suspense and such.

UNLESS my team is on a long losing streak, in which case I click "full boxscore" and get the result right away.

Happened just now, too. Had a team on an L8, so I clicked "full boxscore."

We won!

Seems very often the best record does NOT make it to finals. There is an entire thread on that.
Forum Jinx is real...I post about everyone elses hitting streaks to stop them.
I complain all the time about my L8s, but it doesnt seem to stop them
Eckersley walked like 3 in 80IP in RL, but against Ruth / Bonds will walk both in a single inning.
No matter which Ted Williams in any ballpark I used, have never gotten close to his RL numbers. However that 1953 version with 100 ABs is INSANE and I use it on every team I can afford to...he is good for 8-10 Wins a season....alone.

I always click the “use mop-up when losing only” button EVERY team I have. I didn’t always do it but years ago I had 1990 Bill Wegman as my mop-up guy and he came into a game I was winning 9-2 in the 8th and proceeded to give up 5 runs in 1/3 of an inning. Of course my closer gave up 3 more in the 9th to lose it but ever since then I don’t take any chances of that happening again. Now it’s my Setup or Long relievers that will occasionally blow big, late inning leads haha

I don't look at the games until they have all simmed for the day.

Except for the first game of the season which, if I lose, means the season is doomed.
