I’ve played 115 seasons. Gonna throw this out there, because it’s happened to me so many times with multiple combinations of players.

In a two-forward formation, whenever I have one high-overall player paired with a lesser one - my current guys are 81 and 67 - the lower rated guy shoots more and scores more.

Don’t know if it’s the game just regressing to the mean, but it’s happened so regularly that I just figure it’s how things work.

Anyone else care to weigh in?

I will say this, I played a variety of formations last year on one of my teams, and my 81 overall F scored 24g in 32gp on 81SOG. My 74 overall F scored *74* times in 33gp on *146* SOG.

The higher rated one is definitely the better playmaker so it makes sense, and the ratings aren't TOO far apart. But the 81ovr still has 100 ball striking and 95 shooting. 65 more SOG and 50 more goals is quite wild. 74 goals is also the highest total I have seen though it is in a league with 17 bots.

I do think there's a little bit of skill spread baked into the formula but...far too often have I seen teams where my best player clearly isn't taking the opportunities I would want him to.
