Time to revisit this again...

League 1
Round 1 Record: 110-52 (Won World Series)
Round 2 Record: 82-80 (missed playoffs, advanced to round 3)
Free Agent: 1902 Bill Bernhard
Bernhard pitched in 69 games, starting 17 (245 innings). He finished 18-15 and 8/11 in saves. His 4.81 ERA ranked 6th among eligible NL players (the AL pitchers dominate the leaderboard). After a slow start, he ended up being the best pitcher (w/50+ innings) on my roster. Grade: A-
.
League 2
Round 1 Record: 92-70 (Lost in LCS)
Round 2 Record: 94-68 (finished 2nd in division by 1 game, advanced to round 3)
Free Agent: 1914 Dutch Leonard
I've used Leonard solely as a RP. He pitched in 95 games (196 innings), finished with a 19-13 record and was 26/37 in saves. His 4.18 ERA was 9th best in the A.L. Grade: B+
.
League 3
Round 1 Record: 93-69 (Missed playoffs by 2 games)
Round 2 Record: 83-79 (3rd in division, 5th in NL, did not advance)
Free Agent: 1925 Dolf Luque
Luque pitched in 84 games (15 starts). He finished with a 10-16 record and was also 10/16 in saves. That's not a misprint. His 6.96 ERA was ranked 20th in the N.L (among qualified pitchers) which basically means bottom 5-10 in the league. He's been awful in the 2nd half of the season. After allowing a combined 16 runs in 2.0 innings over 3 appearances, his ERA went from 4.99 to 6.96 and it basically stayed in the high 6's the rest of the season. My team would've been better off standing pat than adding him. Grade: D
.
League 4
Round 1 Record: 93-69 (Lost in World Series in 7 games)
Round 2 Record: 82-80 (won World Series, but didn't advance to round 3, due to 2-teams per person rule)
Free Agent: 1937 Lefty Gomez
After a terrible start, Gomez finished the season 19-15 in 41 starts (270 innings). His 5.57 ERA was ranked 9th in the A.L. The second half turnaround allowed this team to win a weak division and then we got hot in the playoffs to take the title. Grade: B+
.
League 5
Round 1 Record: 101-61 (Won World Series)
Round 2 Record: 95-51 (Clinched 1st place in division with 16 games left to play, despite a recent L7)
Free Agent: 1946 Bob Feller
What a turnaround! After a horrific start, Feller is currently 29-11 in 56 starts (347 innings). His 4.91 ERA is ranked 5th in the NL and is the current leader to win the NL Cy Young Award, just ahead of teammate Robin Roberts, who was inserted back into the rotation as is currently 22-7, 5.10. Grade: A+
.
League 6
Round 1 Record: 84-78 (Missed playoffs)
Round 2 Record: 72-74 (1st place in weak division, currently on a 10-21 run)
Free Agent: 1966 Sandy Koufax
Well, this is the complete opposite of my Bob Feller experience. Koufax has been about as bad as possible. He just keeps getting bombed. After his 9th straight loss, I've moved him to the mop-up role. His current stats: 13-22, 5.99 ERA (23rd in A.L). Grade: D
.
League 7
Round 1 Record: 96-67 (Missed playoffs by 1 game)
Round 2 Record: 56-45 (1st place by 7 games)
Free Agent: 1977 Bruce Sutter
Sutter got bombed early and was sporting an ERA over 8 as late as 30 games into the season. He's been better as of late, with 31 appearances, 34 innings, a 5-2 record and 11/13 in saves. His 4.50 ERA isn't great (3rd worse of any RP with at least 10 saves) but considering where it was, I guess I'll take it. It's going to be nearly impossible to get him to throw 100 innings if I leave him at closer so I may have to start using him in a setup role to get maximum value from him. Grade: C
.
League 8
Round 1 Record: 88-74 (Lost in World Series 4-1)
Round 2 Record: 52-49 (3rd place in division, but currently 4th best team in AL)
Free Agent: 1981 Dave Righetti
I have 3 regular SPs plus two half-time SPs (Sutcliffe & Righetti). I've used Righetti mostly as a straight SP (18 games, 15 starts), not a tandem. He did got bombed in two of his relief appearances so I will keep him as a SP. His stats are decent: 102 innings, 7-4 record, 3.09 ERA (2nd best in AL). He's yet to allow a HR. Grade: A
.
League 9
Round 1 Record: 88-74 (2nd place in division, missed playoffs)
Round 2 Record: 11-12 (3rd place, but only 1 game out of 1st)
Free Agent: 1996 Kevin Brown
Of the first nine mini-drafts, I was most excited about this pick. '96 Kevin Brown may have been my first round pick had I chosen high enough (Brown was selected 4th overall). When I added Brown in the mini-draft, I almost cut Jose Rijo, who was terrible in round 1 (12-22, 8.09). But due to low innings, I decided to keep Rijo. Sure enough, Rijo is 4-0 with a 3.94 ERA while Brown started off 1-2 with a 7.94 ERA. Since then, he got a no-decision and then won his last start so he's now 2-2 with a 5.68 ERA. It's still very early, but I'm hopeful he follows in the Bob Feller path and not the Sandy Koufax path. grade: C+

League 10
Round 1 Record: 90-72 (Lost in LCS 4-3)
Round 2 Record: 12-11 (2nd in division, 2 games out)
Free Agent: 2002 Barry Bonds
This is the first hitter I've taken in these mini-drafts. My pitching led the league in round 1 (by a decent margin) so why not add a stud hitter? Of course, as I've learned from my League 1 team, round 1 results do not necessarily correlate to round 2 results. Although the 12-11 record is ok, my pitching is closer to last in the AL than to first. But Bonds has been great, .358 / .506 / .597. His OPS is 4th in the AL, oddly behind teammate Travis Hafner, who was so bad in round 1, that I benched him for most of the season. This is a weird game. Grade: A+
