Happy to get this rolling. If anyone had wanted in, sitemail me. I'm told it is prudent to have a backup heading into drafts, and I plan to post signups for 1970 pretty soon!

How do live drafts treat players with multiple partial/combined seasons?

For example, Don McMahon has a partial with Detroit and combined with Detroit and SF. How many of those 3 versions can be drafted?

Clones are off, so I believe once you draft any version, the remaining versions will be immediately removed from the player pool.
Although this is my first draft as commissioner, I did have a more experienced draft commissioner look over my settings after I set it up a few weeks back.

So there’s no early picking, I guess. You draft in your slot regardless. Which means a lot of picks have to happen during holidays, but at least it’s later rounds.

Correct. I don't think there is any way to do a proxy.

The entire draft is during the holiday season, but Christmas day is specifically picks 19-20-21. But the holidays hit everyone differently - Sun the 21st is my worst day for picking, personally.

I am willing to put in a ticket asking for Dec 25 off but no idea if they will. Do people think I should?

This is a moderately useful feature. You can pre-select certain players and make a queue. You cannot see my queue and vice versa. I already have 5+ batters and pitchers in mine, most of whom I assume will be gone before my round 2 pick.

It will NOT auto-pick from the queue but it lets you have a short list when your window is open.

I found this useful in the last draft when I was busy at during my window. I could refresh the page on my phone and just grab whichever pre-selected SS was still available in round 8 (even though I was teaching a class at the time and did not want to look at any stats on my phone).

I tested that feature. On my desktop you see the whole list you created in a queue. On mobile devices, it creates a dropdown for you.

Two of the owners haven't yet opened their sitemail and might not be aware the draft starts at noon eastern today.

I want to keep their spots for them, but I am looking for two people willing to step in last minute if they do not make their initial pick on time.

That could mean handling a couple of proxy picks, but it could also mean filling in for them entirely.
