Once again the game decides that my #1 QB is leaving the program. He was a redshirt junior this past season and was ranked as the #2 QB in all of Hayes according to the GUESS rankings. He was poised to be the #1 ranked QB in all of Hayes and would have been my starter as a redshirt senior this season. But instead he has been removed from my roster.
THAT IS BULLSH!T
FECKIN' BULLSH!T

I've seen it happen most when a new coach takes over a team.

From your previous post, you knew this was a thing now. Like you, I'm not a fan of it but, I make sure my JRs start at least one half of one game. Especially the good ones. Some of my JRs I don't when they suck and hope they get cut!

(He just took over the team.) But you're right about ******* off the worthless players to get 'em to leave, that was a bigger part of the game way back when :)

I didn't see that in his post. Yea that is poor design. I thought new owners of teams didn't have to fulfill any kind of playing time promises from previous coach, which would assume also applied to JRs not getting playing time.

Since it certainly seems they are making small but significant tweaks to the game, I wish they would tell everyone what they have done.

Transparency.

Integrity.

It wasn't in his post. I knew he just got the job at Penn St in Hayes. Not sure it has anything to do with promises, probably just another unpublished aspect of the game.

Yeah, sorry, I should have clarified that I just took over the team.

I asked WIS about this previously and they told me it could only happen if a promise was broken, though I'm 99.9% sure that is incorrect because I'm 99.9% sure that I didn't break any promises to the guy who left early last time (a few seasons ago in Bryant D1) and i haven't even had a chance yet to make any promises this time.

If this were happening frequently, to lots of coaches, then I'd understand. But it seems that it so rarely happens, and WIS customer support said it isn't supposed to happen, and they say that it only could possibly happen if you break a promise ... so it's really effin' annoying when it happens to me twice in the span of a few seasons and when I didn't break any promises.

What am I supposed to do to avoid this? I have asked WIS customer support that exact question and they have no answers because they cannot even figure out why it happened.

I also asked to see the playing time of the player who left early so that I could try to infer what level of playing time is the threshold to avoid this, but they say that they cannot show me the player's playing time because by the time that I get the email from him he's already been erased from the WIS database.
