I’m curious how exactly international scouting and advanced scouting work together.

1). Is international budget solely have to do with the amount of prospects you see and the ratings accuracy is solely determined by advanced scouting ?

2) does international budget have anything to do with ratings accuracy.

example: 5 international budget and 20 advanced scouting. Will you get the most accurate projected ratings but just won’t see many of the prospects?

whereas a 20 international budget and 5 advanced scoring will show the most prospects but wildly inaccurate. Is this the correct understanding ?

My understanding is that International - like College/HS - affects both the number of unsigned prospects you see and the accuracy of their projections.

Advanced scouting shows projections for signed players in the other owners' systems, and free agents. There's no link or interplay between it and the other scouting categories.

Yeah, what damag said. Once you understand the predictable nature of player development, advanced scouting is almost worthless. Most HBD vets spend $0M in it.

International/College/High School scouting budget determines accuracy of a prospect's projected ratings (before a player is signed) AND the number of prospects you see. That said, even with a $20M (max) budget you will still not see every prospect, just most of them.

Advanced scouting controls what a player's projected ratings are AFTER they are signed, both for your players and players on other teams along with regular free agents.
