Mantle S78 - Need 2 Topic

Mantle will roll to Season 78 in a few days, and we are looking for some solid, experienced owners to join one of the openings we have left. Mantle is a great, long established world that sims at the top of the hour and has a very small wait time between seasons - we have not had to wait more than a week after a rollover since I've been commissioner and that's something I am committed to keeping going every season I'm in charge. Mantle has had 7 different champions in the last 7 seasons and no super teams right now. When you join, you can expect short turnarounds between seasons and great competition.

Mantle Private World Rules
Rule #1: We have a minimum win requirement(MWR) of 55/120/185/260. Meaning that you must win a minimum of 55 games each season, or 120 games through 2 seasons, 185 through 3 seasons, or 260 over a four season stretch. Midseason replacement owners are exempt during the season in which they assume control of the franchise. The following season they would be required to meet the world minimum. The penalty for not meeting the MWR is as follows. The first offense will cause your franchise to receive a penalty for the following season. This penalty requires you to set your prospect budget no larger than 8 million for the season and it must remain at 8 million or less for the entire season. If you fail to set your prospect budget at 8 million or below, you will be notified by the commissioner of the violation. You must then transfer enough cash from your prospect budget to get it to the required 8 million or less. Failure to comply to the commissioner’s request within 48 hours of the notice being sent out will be cause for removal from Mantle world. A second violation of the stated MWR will be cause for removal from Mantle world.
*
Rule #2: All franchises are required to maintain healthy pitching staffs and lineups at all levels. If you have multiple minor league pitchers with a zero fatigue within the same level(Rookie-AAA), you will be asked to make corrections. You will be given 1 week to make corrections. If corrections are not made within a week, you will again be reminded of the fatigue issues. If the fatigue issue goes uncorrected for more than 1/3 of the season(54 games), you can be removed from the world. The intention is not to kick out owners over this rule, but to make sure that you keep a properly stocked minor league system and fix issues that come up.
*
Rule #3: The amount of cash received in a trade can not exceed the total amount of salaries being received in that trade at the time in which that trade is scheduled to be completed. If a team is in violation of this rule, then the trade should be vetoed by the other owners of the world and the trade should be resubmitted so that the cash amount is less than the salaries. If the trade goes through and the amount over exceeds $250,000, then the amount over must be returned to the original team by trading a low level player for the cash.
*
Rule #4: We are all here because we enjoy playing a game. To make sure that Mantle World continues to be a world that owners want to participate in, we will show respect to our fellow owners. There will be no personal attacks in the world chat or any other form of communication between owners. If an owner continues to make comments about another owner or topic within the world after being asked to stop, then that owner shall receive a warning from the commissioner. If the owner continues to make comments to another owner or in world chat about the subject he/she was warned about, they can be removed from the world.

Current Openings
AL North
Madison (92-70)
The last owner decided to step aside after 26 seasons, but he left the team in good shape. Madison is coming off a 92-win season where rookie Malachi Mann won Rookie of the Year and had 7 all stars including Mann and other good players like SP Yadier Sardinas, CF Pete Curtis, and 3B Darryl Kipling. They also have some prospects to build around including former #52 pick closer Tony Swift, this year's #15 pick C Dennis O'Brien, last season's #15 pick 2B Jim Gyorko, and last season's #22 pick SS Sparky Gabriel. They have the majority of the team coming back, so the next owner has a good core to build around.

AL South
Jackson (71-91) - reserved
Jackson is a team in the middle of a rebuild, but on their way up. The last two owners helped improve things, so whoever takes over this team already has things in good shape with a lot of recent high draft picks. Some of their prospects include Season 73 #1 pick Jeurys Peralta, Season 74 #1 pick P Gary Henry, Season 75 #8 pick P Kenny James, Season 76 #1 pick P Wilfredo Picasso as well as high priced international free agent 2B Don Tamura. They didn't sign their 1st round pick, so they may have two 1st rounders in Season 78 as well (I'll update this after rollover). They did sign $26M IFA SS Andres Mendoza, so they still added a quality prospect this season.

The other draw for Jackson is that they have arguably the best pitcher in the world in Willin Inciarte. He can either be built around or could be flipped for a massive haul. They also have an excellent young 3B in Nevin Bettis and a mixture of other good players to build around with only $40M in committed contracts next season. There's still work to do, but this is a great opportunity for someone who loves a rebuild.

You can relocate these teams wherever you want. Send me a sitemail if interested!
