Come join the Dirty Dozen - which started in 1920, now entering the 1971 season. We expanded in 1961, so will expand again in 1971. The league is low key, good owners, standard rules, with four division winners advancing to playoffs. Teams must be real team city based, with historically accurate stadiums, but choose your own nickname. eg. I have Oakland Gangsters - playing at Oakland-Alameda County Stadium. The team in Washington will move to Texas for the 1972 season.

Expansion Draft will be straightforward.

All 16 current teams protect 12 players, all remaining un-protected players are available for expansion draft. Players on IR in 1971 are not available as we want you to draft active players. All current teams will lose 4 players in the expansion draft. So the new owners will each end up with 16 players drafted in the expansion draft.

The expansion draft order will be through a lottery (Random.org list randomizer) and will be via snake style (1234 then 4321 etc.).

All players not selected will go back to their previous teams, who will then post their keepers (along with the expansion teams) for the regular draft for 1971 rookies and free agents.

Expansion teams get the first four draft slots in the 1971 draft, but again their order per round will follow a snake style.
