32 Team Draft Challenge League
I wanted to create a league that would like somewhat like an MLB season but using the entire database.
The idea i will draw a random list of 32 teams and that will become the draft pool.
Draft will be serpentine style. Why 32 it was simple math. 600 players drafted. I said every team averages 20 players which i know is a low figure and that is 30 and then added 2 more teams just in case. Teams once used will not be eligible in concurrent seasons
There will no salary cap......but teams will be placed in divisions based on total salary lowest to highest
Draft is 26 rounds - one round for an exclusive stadium. you can use any pick for this
Only use players that belonged to your team no combined stats
No to AAA, WW, and clones
Yes: Trades
Salary Cap: None
DH: Yes (odd years yes and even years no)
In Order to make this a recurring league
All playoffs team get to keep one player from the previous season
championship round teams get to keep up to 2 players
World Series teams up to 3 players
These players are only eligible for the next season so you dont get that Lou Gehrig forever if you keep making the playoffs
These players will count towards your 1-3 Draft picks in the subsequent season
Teams for the next season will not be announced until after keepers are chosen
Draft order year 1 random and based on order of finish worst to best. Salary cap will be the tie breaker(lowest picks 1)
you can trade for players and our draft picks. If you do trade for draft picks not that if you trade a 1st and you win the series and keep 3 players you will not draft until the 5th round your 1-4 will be spoken for. The 1st round pick will go to the team you traded with
